had a gto follow me on a road course, even on a wet road that car could handle very well. don't know if it had been upgraded or not but I was very impressed.

I was looking into getting this car while i was looking at my evo also, along with a mach 1 mustang. But since i drive in heavy snow and I don't have another car to switch off on, the evo won out over the toher cars. And i have to say, snow + evo = a great time

Good choice...I couldn't imagine driving the GTO in the snow. In the rain it's not bad if you keep the traction control on, but wet or dry with that off and it's easy to get squirly.

I get worse gas mileage in my EVO than I do my GTO.

I have a few friends with GTO's One runs an 11.3@121 With Bolt on's and n20 , Its an automatic. Another One on the same setup was running 10.98@124 They are VERY fast for the money u have to put into them

Most impressive is a Fully STOCK GTO 2006 6.0 With a direct Port N20 Kit , That ran an 11.5@128

So if u wanna go fast ina straight line for cheap , GTO is the way to go

i just had a friend crash his... damage doesnt look that bad at all, but the whole underbody is done so its totalled..

he his a little bus sign and that set the front air bags off... the car was very safe and took the beating like a champ...

PUT GOOD RAIN TIRES ON!

he was barely on the gas and the car went sideways due to ****ty tires. that thing moves once its gets going...

he put eibach springs on and was able to launch much much better after so i'd def reccomend those...

Cheers!

But before I do anything I'm trying to get as much info about them as I can.

So I was wondering if anyone one on the site might have some info or even have one?

I was just wondering...

How reliable are they?

Did you have the front strut problem?

If so what corrections were made?

Thanks!

back in 04 I took one for a test drive with my co-worker, we both agreed that its not responsive, you will knick yourself in the nuts if you get a GTO

Like everybody else has already said, the '04's are nothing special...looks like a regular car and only has a 350HP LS1 in it.

Not true, many have owned and Evo and 05-06 GTO and loved the change to a muscle car.
