Looks very familiar...but I've got the 18's

 

I love mine. Looked at the Evo and I was about sold on it untill I drove one and it was just not roomy enough for me Im 6'3 220lbs so it was a little cramped. I have the 5.7 and im boosting 7lbs. with the APS TT kit and im getting mid 11.4 at the track on 245's in the rear(Nitto INVO's) I like the Evo's AWD and just wish the GTO was but I wish I also had a million dollars too.

 

Not really a fan of those heavy *** cars

 

Went to the track today with a bunch of guys from our car club and my buddy just ran a best of 10.88 @ 136 with his STS turbo GTO...only got 2 runs in but I think she has more in it.

On the same token they are also NASTY weight wise. The ultimate nastyness is about power and weight ratio then off course traction,aerodynamic,gearing,etc

I have a 65 GTO convertible with a 421 super-duty and a tri-power.....That runs pretty good!

 

LS1s are great motors. I miss my LS1 Z28 almost every day. Nice bullet-proof mills.

Even though it is the 350hp version - don't be fooled. They can be made fast as hell and decent handling cars. i recommend it.

 

spend a little more and get an 03-04 cobra

 

owned an 03 and an 05 evo as well as a 04 5.7 GTO

Pros of GTO:
-Interior is 80242x better
-Cheap cars for what they are
-Subtle looks so cops dont mess with u or know that its fast
-Feels VERY solid, in and out
-No nasty gaps on the outside or anything
-Good gas mileage for a 5.7L V8
-Easy to make fast and sounds very nice with exhaust/LT

Cons:
-I didn't like the seats
-Steering feel is "heavy"
-Car itself feels like a boat esp in corners
-Subtle looks (this can actually be a pro and con depending on your taste)
