Yeah that's the only reason I got away from Honda's, oh maybe, 7 or 8 years ago. Just got sick of trying to put the power down through the front wheels, no fun. Then the s2k's came out, a friend of mine bought one, I drove it for a night and never sat in it ever again. Not cause it's not a great car, I just dont fit. The NSX motor is from the stone age, and unless your spending crazy amounts of money, you cant turbocharge them without them blowing up.

That being said, I am looking into a new Si, just cause the k20 is such a great motor. Sorry Evo fans, I love em too, but the k20 is superior to the 4G63. Stock rev limit is 8500, build it, and I dont see any reason why it couldn't go to 10k+ regularly. That's just begging for a rather large turbo and butt loads of torque steer

It is much easier to make power with the 4G63 with bolt-ons though, since it is already turbo-ed from the factory. In essence, it's what makes the engine great.

But hey, the K20 engine has proven itself to be a very capable unit. I'd take one in an Elise anyday!

My brother has a 2006 Type-S, and has plans on a Stage 2 Full-Race kit. He'll stop at around 300whp; any more and he'll have difficulty putting it down.

Why would you say that?.....

you might want to check full-race.com . They even have the turbo kits that is capable of 700whp. Front wheels though...

NA power rocks, I LOVE ITB's the sound sexy especially on a S2k but pretty nice on a K20 as well.

My best friend and his dad both have turbo RSX. his dad has the cybernation stg 2 kit and his last dyno was 500hp@22psi, my best has the stg 1 kit and recently dynoed at 366hp@9psi. I drive both of them whenever I can, crazy fun cars to drive.

solid cars with even more impressive motors. Linear power bands, responsive engines, good gas mileage.

I sold my 06 Si to get my 06 MR. I seriously thought about putting tons of money to get big power outta my Si, then I realized that I could get an Evo and already have way ore power and AllWheelDrive Traction. Unless you LOVE Torque Steer then stay away from Front drivers. Yes the K20 engines are argueably the best engines on the planet, however they have No-Torque(think---why no AWD).....I luved my 06Si the fit anf finish was awesome, however there is no comparison to the Evo IMHO. The Si is basicly a 2 seater, the Evo can handle 4 comfy, asfaras MPG I got 27 outta my Si I now get 22 outta my Evo....if you want a project car get an oldskool civic hatch and put in a NA K20 and drive it......

my lil brother finally finished his k20 swap into a 94 integra... and raced a civic with a type r swap... today... it was good... civic had him of the start... then off the roll he left the type r... i say k20 and k24 are the best honda motors... they are stron as hell... this dude has a stock k20 with turbo pushing 44 PSI till it finally blew... which is amazing... plus ferrari began basing their motors of the type r motors... so honda must be doing somthing right lmao...

Slap the LSD in it, It will solve(reduce) the torque steer problem.

The New Si's come with an LSD. But the K20Z1 or whatever it is in the new Si's is really high on compression something like 11:5:1 or something. Which means boost is a big no no. Unless you swap out some lower compression pistons. Also they come in a 4 door Si model now, so that problem is solved, and I know at least 15 people in my arear that have 450+ fwd cars and I personally owned a fwd car that was 300+ and I have never heard a one of them or myself ***** about torque steer and yada yada. AWD is nice to have for sure, but you people act like its impossile to drive anything else. If its that hard to drive maybe you shold take osme driving lessons

the rsx type s was 11:0.1. And being from miami and hangout with Cybernation Motorsports, they where running up to 14psi on pump with those engine, all dynoing in 400hp range.

I used think that would be impossible/improbable, the K20 proved me, and MANY others wrong. Which is why i respect it so much.

and dont try the "won't last long" approach, been there, got shot down & shut up.

and on the traction topic, 350hp and over in fwd isn't hard to drive, as long as you don't drive hard . . . or you live near a highway and only do 60rolls.

either way girls love torque steer and wheelspin, so fwd wins automatically. lol

K series engines are phenomenal. Based on displacement numbers alone, compare a K20 to a 4G63 to an SR20 to a 3SGTE, the K20 will spool the turbo ~500rpm faster and make anywhere from 70-120 more whp depending on turbo size and camshaft selection/tuning

the performance we have seen is absolutely amazing, too bad they dont bolt in to an EVO lol
