That is one ugly looking car.

 

1st impression. horrible....

 

Rear end is hideous, the front end is much improved over the previous pig nose, but IMO anything is an improvement over the pig nose.

 

Every time I see a pic of it, I think of this.



Maybe it looks good in person, but as of now I think Subie did a pretty poor job on this one.

 

It looks a lot like the Suzuki Reno as well.

Seriously looks hatchback civic to me, I'm sorry I mean wagon, LOL. It might grow on some people or something, but it will never be anything special, and a pretty big disappointment for Subaru and its next generation WRX/STI platform. I think the worst part is that it doesn't even gain any power, maybe the story to the wheels will be different, but with the MS3 and possible Caliber SRT-4 making 260HP+, I fully expected the WRX to be rated at around 260HP. But I was wrong and the car looks like sh*t, wow great job Subaru.

 

I think that it looks good, but then again I'm old.

Also, please keep in mind that SUBARU is a Japanese company... So... Their initial styling is going to be for the Japanese market. As Americans, we have something against hatchbacks and I would have to agree it's not all the appealing to me. However, they are making a sedan specifically for the US market. That's the car that should really be judged by Americans.
