Something seems wroong with the graph. Isn't TQE and HP supposed to cross at like 5252 RPM? If that is an engine Dyno graph It will more than likely get beat by reflashed 335s? (for 20K less $). I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

thats the exact one in a recent magazine.. its not a fake.. its an engine dyno. Its looks very weird and thats what everyone is complaining about... the same amount of tq at a higher rpm translates to more horsepower.. the mag I read basically assused BMW of shifting the the tq curve back a little to achieve the high hp figure so it looks good compared to the RS4 ( not that it wasnt going to be very close anyway.. and this didnt make a big difference) . I would expect that with such low tq numbers and 3500lbs, the evo X should feel pretty fast in comparison. The HP numbers are very misleading... i.e. its not gonna be that fast in a straight line and top speed is estimated at only 175mph.

Despite those low tq numbers, I still think the M3 is going to be sweet and would totally give the RS4 a run for its money. Especially since the price is significally lower than that of the RS4.
torque is relatively low because u're supposed to rev the engine high (think f20c in the s2000)
i'm pretty sure the top end will be pretty impressive.
the rs4 will have no chance with the m3.

Several things with this graph make it tricky to interpret compared to what we're used to seeing:
- Torque is in newton-meters, not lb-ft: 400 N-m is about 295 lb-ft
- Power axes in both kilowatts and HP, but both are marked kW (left power axis is actually HP)
- The torque and power axes are ranged differently
- Because of the above, the curves do not cross at 5252rpm
- Torque is vertically compressed to a narrow (visual) range so as to look very flat and even
- Power is vertically expanded so as to look ever-climbing
+1 BMW is sticking with their high speed concept, and yes, it will smoke the RS4. I cant wait for the sedan variant.

?
(i think its fake and is just for hype but w/e..)
