What's the statistic? Oh yeah 90% of all car accidents are a result of driver error. No finger pointing here, let's just all learn from other's mistakes and drive safer, it can happen to anyone

I'm going to have to disagree with this statement. I don't think that any car MAKES you go fast. It's all in the drivers self control and obviously he needs to work on that.

As for my opinion on a new car.... If I were in your shoes, I would go with a lexus IS250 AWD... fun sporty car with little temptaion to go "Fast".
