Replacement for the "X"

So, about a week ago I shipped my 08 GSR back to Hawaii and needed something to get around for the next two weeks while im still here in LA. So i went to hertz and rented one of these:

All I can say is Oh My God! I am averaging 55mpg in stop and go traffic, it uses regular gas, gets 500mi on 9.5 gallons of regular gas, and its comfortable. I love my x but this thing just makes you feel good when you drive it...like you're giving back to the world and saving money at the same time. I think if gas prices continue the current trend towards $5-6 a gallon im gonna seriously gonna have to consider thinking about one of these are a second car.

Anyway, this is a little off topic in this section but im so excited about how great this car is. I've always bashed the prius when my friends talked about it but totally ate all those words after spending a few days in the thing.

Toyota is boasting that the 2009 Prius will see better than 94mpg. I'm trading my wife's lancer in for one of those the day the are available!

I was thinking of getting a used yaris for dd duty. They get about 40mpg and about 8 grand for a 2007 model. Very temping when gas will definitely break the 5 dollar barrier.

I don't care, I'm not buying anything that looks like that. Just because it gets great gas mileage doesn't mean they have to make it looks like ****. I'll pick up something a long the lines of the tesla when the technology becomes cheaper.

How agile are those (I purposely chose to not use the word "fast" 'cuz come on... it's a Prius)?

eh thats nothing compared to the Honda Insight! I knew someone personally who averaged 80mpg in stop and go in LA(Drives the 405 every day) When he would come out by me his highway riding would give him 100mpg granted the car is a 2 door but he used to carry alot of stuff across the country.
