Am i the first?
well at least we know that the eVo can be reliable with high millage...thanks for being the sacrificial lamb so that the others can benefit from your experience...BTW...since I don't do much highway driving...how is your car on gas with all that highway driving? You probably spent a lot during those 50K miles of highway driving...lol...

close to 70k. and that was with me driving aggressively (it's what i do), autocrossing, and drag racing occasionally. i think i could have gotten more life out of it if i wouldn't have had to learn to launch it haha. took me a few tries to get it right...and i smelled a lot of burning clutch those first few times. once i realized you hold your foot to the floor and let the two step do the work, my launches came a lot easier haha

Are you on the stock turbo? Are you burning any oil? and how often and what oil are you using. Same question about your trans and tc? Sounds like you got a good car, keep us updated on mileage and problems.

the only problem i've ever had with the car that's really pissed me off is when i made the mistake of going with an Exedy stage 1 clutch when my stocker went out. high rpm lockout issues, rough engagement, engagement is too high in the pedal, it's just a piece of ****. i'll be yanking this one to go back to another stocker soon.
but i started a job that was 170 miles away from my house...one way lol i was making that drive back and forth for 7 months, and i finally moved to the area where my job is located, so now i only have to drive 15 miles to work. i still go back to my home town, and i do a lot of driving. i put a lot of miles on all my cars, but the EVO definately got to 100k faster than any of my others did lol

While that's pretty amazing mileage on an '06, I have to ask: Why in the **** didn't you get a cheap apartment to stay at during the week while waiting on your house to sell?
Good god, 340 miles of commute every day would pretty much make me kill myself.

hopefully is my first and only major damage and not the first of a long series.
