Looks like it is time for seafoam.

I just did it on my 87 cadi (76500miles on it) that i drive every day and wow it woke right up im going to do it one more time to make sure i got everything covered.


If you need help on how to do it let me know ill walk you though it. Best thing about it is that it only cost 8 bucks and it is something you can do by yourself.

 

i've read about seafoam on a couple other forums. i'm thinkin about doing it on my EVO and on my accord.

Dam.. 100k on a ix ? Wondering how did you maintenance it ?

 

I hit 100k a long time ago. Was a sad day. Now I'm around 120k. Finaly replaced my stock clutch 2 months ago.

 

that is insane milage. way to far to drive to work, im surprised you didnt fall asleep at the wheel every morning.

 

I bought my car with just over 21k on it in June. I'm now just under 30k.
That works out to be 27,000 miles a year!!! I drive a lot!!!

wow 101k in a couple years...and i thought i drove too much.

 

ix mr with 57,000 and im about about to cry i have so many miles. replaced the t-case and clutch here but thats it. also replaced hood and cf lip twice due to rock chips and repainted front bumper too. im OCD.

 

i followed the book that came with it. oil change ever 5k (royal purple and mobil 1 filter), other fluid changes every 15k, timing belt and balance shaft belt change at 60k, spark plugs at 60k as well. other than that, just put gas in it, and drive it HARD.

 

i would still like to know why this thread got moved to "other cars" when it's talking about an EVO IX MR
