those who traded in for bmw is likely to be 30+ , feel like they have grow up and want to ditch the Japanese performance car for a BMW, but heck ... at age 30 unless u r really making money .... u r behind ur house payment , kid is going to be born and probably cannot keep 2 cars or has the luxury to have an extra car sitting at the garage ... .there goes for the BMW .... ( not $50k + BMW doh =p) after all it is not even 2x an evo $$$

That's funny but true. I had a MINI S before the EVO. On 2 different occasions, BMW fixed the problems I was having by applying software flashes to the ECU.

However, I must say that seeing BMW's exception service (just from the MINI side) was impressive. I never knew car dealerships were capable of operating like that. You walk in to setup an appointment with them, and first thing they are asking is whether they can get you a drink. And once they take your car, a little discussion follows about loaner cars -- usually I requested a manual tranny 3 series that was decked out, and they arranged that. In my case, they knew all of the mods on the car and totally overlooked them. The MINI went into BMW quite a bit, but half of that was for stupid little things, like I hear a rattle...

Also, BMW is sick.
+1. I totally agree, but I passed on a 335xi this time around and got the Evo X. I don't really feel the two cars are comparable but because I wanted to have some fun before the kids come. The potential clients and in-laws will just have to deal with it for another year or two.

What makes you think that you can't have fun after you have kids? I'm a professional and I doubt if any of my clients care about my car, but they do have a peculiar habit of expecting results when they hire me. That's the part that no fashion accessory can solve.

My coworkers love my car. Then again, they see it once or twice a season.

I like BMW a lot, but some reason you can pin point they owners out of any crowd...
Lets say you go into any Cafe shop to get your morning dose , and one BMW is in the parking lot mixed up with other cars, you can defenietly pick the owners...

Thats a pretty broad brush there.

4 yrs for the evo was good for me,, and I thought I would keep that car forever.

I feel the 335i is almost too perfect,,, and I only regret that I might have to keep this car forever.

Its fast, classey, commfy, sporty, sounds great, great stereo, seats 4, huge trunk, rears fold down, can fit my bike in the back., goes like a tank in the winter with snow tires, gets 30-36mpg on the highway, and 20 in town, built very well, tight car, and looks so damn nice.

But it is great to get new things, even if what you have is very nice.

Bascially,, I feel the same about the 335i as I did the evo in 2003,, I just feel it more, and all the time. I bought the evo site unseen/undriven in 3-'03. First time in the usa,, boy that car was so damn awsome first drive!!!!!

Its really all the little things that add up to the whole in the 335i.

Add in alotta growing up,, that I didnt see coming,,,,,,,,lololol. Where the *** that come from???????????

Having almost ever member of my family owning a new bmw at one time or another, i'm just not a fan of those cars. I spent a considerable amount of time driving them and I find that brand to be just hype and not too much more. Basically, people who don't know anything about cars buy BMW's because of the status. I love performance driving and BMW are NOT the ultimate driving machine.

Agreed. I originally wasn't going to get one b/c I work in a client service industry and the looks just scream immature IMO. I got black because you don't notice the aggresiveness of the front end as much, the holes in the bumper and the hood vent blend in quite a bit. Then I swapped the big wing out for your standard lancer wing. To the unknowing it's just a car with aftermarket wheels even though they're still stock. To those that know they still like it. I've also not modded the car (in part) because I don't want a loud obnoxious car when pulling into a client site. I have however been eagerly awaiting the ATP boost activated cutout to be rereleased for over a year though.
