I voted supra because they are moer king of the streets and tracks here. Both great designs and hard to compete against eachother, but there are just more supras here.

Supras are beasts but the skyline is just a rare car here in the USA so it wins the wow factor plus performance is sick

I agreed with you, bro
You don't get to see a skyline driving down the road very often. but I'll still vote for a supra. Im a huge fan of MK4 supras

I think it really all depends on what the purpose of the car is. No one can argue about the high whp numbers Supras put down especially here in Texas. I've seen one put down over 1200whp on a dyno and that's nothing to joke about. In the 1320, and removing the driver factor, both are pretty impressive. AWD does have its advantages over RWD as no one can argue that either. I also believe the Supra is a bit heavier if I'm not mistaken. I haven't seen a Skyline put down 1200whp on a dyno but I'm sure there are videos out there. Bottom line, I've always considered the Skyline R34 the grand-daddy of all Import cars.

I own an r34 gtr. I'd say in stock trim it's damn impressive. For a 3500# + car it handles superbly and has more up than the Japanese let on to. It's pretty intense to drive it and it certainly is a neck breaker in traffic.

I really like supras too but I think most people are stuck on the 2jz more than the car overall. So you can build the engine to 1600 hp. What can you do with that? It prolly wouldn't be a daily driver and you'd be hard pressed to get that power to the ground. It's more bragging rights I guess. I don't believe the supras look that good either but they are nice. I've driven a stock supra once. I'd take the r34 over it any day.

1/4 mile Supra and is easier to work on with a much larger aftermarket in the US.

Roadcourse Skyline more expensive and rare.

skyline has been around since the late 50's. It's racing heritage is from the 70's. I don't think there were any supras then were there? I know nothig of the history of toyota.

Skyline for all around, supra for drag or straight line.

Also, big hp # doesn't equal good usable performance.

A stock Supra is a turd in terms of performance we are used to. Mine makes over 1300rwhp and I can drive it just about anywhere on the street without issue. Now on to the topic question......The Supra, in opinion, unquestionably looks better than the Skyline....comparing the last gen R34 with the MK4. Now that said, there is no denying how bad *** the awd aspect of the Skyline is. I'd own one myself if they ever made anything OTHER than RHD which is just too odd for me. I don't even think it would be a question if Toyota had made the Supra in awd, but alas, they never did. I suppose it just depends on your taste and what you really want. Frankly, I love both but pressed to pick just one, I go MK4.

Now adding one thing to this discussion, the MK4 is the ONLY Supra that even counts as a Supra in my opinion. The earlier Supras....pre 93....can't even be included in a discussion with any Skyline. The Nissan was a MASSIVELY better car on all levels until 93.

supra, the 2jz makes reliable power cheaper and not only did they send it to the US- but we got the better version
