i voted skyline because it is the one still being produced and it has a good track record.

Now that said, there is no denying how bad *** the awd aspect of the Skyline is. I'd own one myself if they ever made anything OTHER than RHD which is just too odd for me. I don't even think it would be a question if Toyota had made the Supra in awd, but alas, they never did. I suppose it just depends on your taste and what you really want. Frankly, I love both but pressed to pick just one, I go MK4.

Now adding one thing to this discussion, the MK4 is the ONLY Supra that even counts as a Supra in my opinion. The earlier Supras....pre 93....can't even be included in a discussion with any Skyline. The Nissan was a MASSIVELY better car on all levels until 93.
Good point! Todd
The R32 and R33 skyline are bad A.S.S car!! the MK2 and MK3 supra just. I don't like the 7M GTE and 1JZ.

Skyline cause I like AWD and I think the AWS is a great concept though I've never driven a car that had it. the New (R35) skyline comes stock with 160 more horsepower than the top of the line supra came with and while the supra may have a few more easier tuning options it takes a good amount of tuning just to bring it up to the same level as the skyline. Not to mention the skylines 0-60 blows the doors off the supra. If your comparing stock to stock its like comparing a ford focus to a ferarri the difference is HUGE not even the same league. However if you have endless tuning money to dump into them then its just a matter of who's mechanic is better and has the better tools deepest pockets and most desire to really push the limits.

It is, in my opinion, totally unfair to compare a 1998 car to a 2008. The only valid comparison are the PRE R35 Skylines to the Supra. Also, I'd put my Supra up against any R35 any day of the week in any test of speed, any amount of money invested into the R35. Hell my Evo will dust off any R35 money be damned, in pretty much ANY competition except top speed. The trannies in the R35 are terribly weak, the car is heavy, and I was not impressed at all when driving it. I is, in my opinion, a MASSIVELY overrated vehicle, and I've driven it. The R34 is just simply bad *** with the right tuning however.

I think the Supra has showed that it is superior in the power department. And btw its stupid to compare the R35 to a mkiv Supra

Stock 2JZ vs Stock RB26 motor = 2JZ wins it has showed that it can be reliable at 800+whp stock. Record is 1017 whp with a stock 2JZ-GTE bottom end

Some facts about what Supra's have achieved

A Supra holds the record for street cars in the standing mile , 241.8 mph (btw stock gearbox, stock axles, stock rear/TRD LSD)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUyf3g5AkI0

A Supra holds the record for 6spd IRS cars 7.91@189 mph (btw stock gearbox, stock axles, stock rear/TRD LSD)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=US2Y8...e=channel_page

Fastest auto IRS Supra is the Titan Motorsports Supra 7.71@185 mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvXBkcYzWsc

A street Supra has been dynoed 1622 rwhp SAE, and there are a couple that have dynoed over 1500 whp with a stock 6spd gearbox
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_83Yaekt2w

The most i´ve seen a 2JZ-GTE engine dyno was 2041 hp on an engine dyno / Gas Motorsports
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ta6hXZkKIw

Vinny Ten outlaw supra 7.30@191 mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnX1IS2-yN8

The Titan Scion went 6.40@220 mph with a 2JZ motor in 2005
And they are now competing with a Scion which is using a 2JZ motor in the ADRL 10.5 Extreme and have gone 4.09@175mph in the 1/8 mile

And for the people that say a stock Supra cant handle, here is a old Best motoring battle MR2 GTS, RX-7 Type RZ , Supra RZ, R33 GTR V-Spec, NSX, 993 Carrera and NSX-Targa

supras do one thing well. and even at its absolute best in the one thing it does well, fox body mustangs still have it covered. sorry, but this can't be a serious comparison (at least for anyone that is into motorsports).
