Bought a new car C6 Z06!!
I drove one and it just didn't really do it for me. The seating position, the amenities, it was really down to a Z06 or 996TT. The 996TT has better quality interior pieces, but looks dated to me. Stock they need more power and about 10K in wings, rims, lips to look better than a Z06, IMO. Add to that the maintenance when something broke or I broke it and a full warrantied Z06 was the easy choice.

Congrats! I too was debating between the ZO6 and the C63 amg i drove both interior is by far nicer on the MB but the speed and drivabilty is awesome on the zo6 I do have a baby on the way so i did go for the c63 i am extremely happy with my decision. Both were 61 grand .. I will not miss the evo!
Congrats. I went from Evo to Z06 about a year ago and have learned a lot.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Most people's first question with this car (as was mine) is Supercharger or Cam.........
I did A LOT of research if you get the mod bug.
See you on CF

Congrats with the new Z06, definately in a whole different league than the Evo. Its one of those cars you can leave stock and its faster than 99% of all the cars in the world. I love the looks too...I have thrown around the idea of a Z51 C6. Did your insurance raise much over the evo?

The rate $800/yr.
NO!!! IT WENT DOWN!! 90$/month then many local Vette heads recommended Grundy or Hagerty collector car insurance. In a nutshell it's a policy for people who love there cars you must have a DD and a garage, the car shall not be used for commute to work, school. errands. It's main use must be pleasure, car shows, and meets. Two locals have had claims and no issues at all. Lastly, it's agreed value, meaning if I say it's worth 75K its worth 75k.

Do they say how many miles a year you can drive it?
When it comes to insurance costs. I think the Evo has a bad reputation.
With a clean driving record, and myself being in the mid 30's.. I pay quite a bit more for my Evo vs my Viper.. When I asked my insurance rep why? She said that the Evo, is a "pocket rocket"..

Beautiful car. Glad to hear you love it so much. Nothing wrong with moving on/up in life. I'm 23 and though I LOVE my Evo for everything it is and does, I'm already sick of the ricer boy sterio type I get all the time and never being satisfied because it can always be faster. I can see myself in some sort of car along the lines of the Vet in a couple years. Hopefully I can tuck the Evo away for my son, but who knows.

Sounds like a great rate and all but that sucks. I wouldn't want to be so limited on when I can drive the car.
