Wow, $61K for the new Z06....

are they discounting the ZR1 just as aggressively?

Check cut within a week. 2. Went on a mountain drive in Austin lost control check cut within a week. No mileage limitations. I only put on 23k miles on my EVO in 3yrs I doubt I'll put more on this.

Both had their car over insured.
I think I may have to look into that coverage...my Evo usually only gets driven about 8k miles a year and mostly on nice weekends...I bet for sure it beats Allstate

congrats on the new purchase. For the money its one of the best cars to buy for the "average joe". I bought a C6 Z51 last September and was blown away by the comparison of the C5 and C6 in every way. Then there is the Z06, its a true street monster.
I think you will have no problem enjoying the vette for many years.
Good luck with it.

Not yet. The ZR1 is in a different league money wise, it will hover over the $100 Gs for a while before they even consider reducing the price.
Considering how sthellar the new ZR1 is among its competitors(Lambos, Porsche, Audi R8, GTRs,Ferraris) they can justify the $100k plus pricetag.

But for now the Z06 or regular C6 (LS3) will be the most demanded Corvette line up.

Congrats on the new ride, nice color choice. What's the insurance like compared to the Evo?

^^ Mine went down from mid $90 a month on the Evo(insanely expensive in my opinion) to $68/month on my 08 Z06 (despite costing twice the Evo).

Humm...I keep seeing this trend. Baffle's me that the once most expensive car to insure is cheaper than an econobox car. Seems the bunch of kids getting Evo's are really ruining the insurance costs.

+1
My insurance was cheaper with my vette than my evo or my acura TL.

damn being 19, cant afford a 60k+ toy yet. I'll just stick to putting a LS7 in my dune buggy, that would satisfy me for now.

For a second, but they aren't going for 60K, and the maintenance is ridiculous!! GTR's are proving very impressive and I like them........I don't like the price, maintenance, and I don't think they look as good as the Z06.

As far as insurance I asked the rep again when we are on the phone...."Are you sure this is for a Corvette Z06?" pretty amazing the EVO costs that much.
