Bought a new car C6 Z06!!
Awesome choice getting black on black with comp grey wheels- thats exactly what I would go with if I end up getting a Z. When my 335i sells I'm torn between a new M3 at $13k off sticker for $55k or a slightly used '08 Z06 2LZ w/ mods for $55k. decisions..decisions!
Great choice. I considered the c6 z06, but I ended up going with the evo. Nothing can beat the bang for the buck like the c6 z06 imo. My next car may be a c6 z06. The powerband is awesome just like you mentioned.
It's funny I've lived in the same neighborhood for almost 4yrs. Only my daughters friends (16yrs old) would ever comment on the EVO. The car has been here for 5 days and all bordering neighbors have said "Sweet Vette", "Nice....a Vette", "Bought a Corvette". Went down the street to a BBQ with the kids/wife and the guy throwing the part says "Saw you bought a Z06 very nice".
Amazing the amount of compliments you get from teenagers all the way up to 60+ when you drive a car with the lineage and image of a Vette.
I truly do love this car!!

^^I totally concur on that one Joel. The compliments I get on my Z06 are greater and more often than any other car I had. Older people come to me and ask me about my hood 427 emblems, other people just tell me the more generic comment: (nice ride..) ( sweet ride).
The appeal on the Z06 is there from every single angle. huge brakes on the side, huge tires in the back, flare fenders(3" wider than a a regular vette),lateral scoops, etc..

^^ You guys make me jealous..... wish i could afford a vette Z06/ZR1 right now
By the way guys are ZR1's hard to come by, is there a waiting list for them?
Is the Z06 easier to find?
just curious....its not like I can go out and buy one right now...

You can find both all day long. Z06 08's are going for low to high 50's used or you have 2 more days to get 0% financing on a new 08'. I know a dealer offering $60.5K brand new for a 08' with 60 months 0% or 72 months 1.9%.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Blue Evo 8,
I saw a navy blue 06 C6 Z06 in Phoenix last week for sale for $38000 with 30000 miles. You will not find in the planet earth/milky galaxy a car with the performance of the Z06 for such bargain. For $38000 you get a whole lot of car.
People makes it looks like an affordable car but it is actually within reach of many. The insurance is cheaper than a Evo and the gas mileage is similar as well perhaps better in the HWY, maintenance wise similar also. Wether you want a new Z06 or a used one the beauty of the Z06 is that you can find them everywhere, you can mods them every where and you can find parts everywhere.
As per the ZR1, it is very new to see any used one on trhe street but they are available everywhere as well.

congrats on the pickup.
I think with more seat time you will find the z06 if far superior to the EVO in almost every way. My initial impressions of the two cars was close to yours. However, a couple years, a few track days and several thouand miles have shown me that the only thing the evo does better then the z06 is drive in the snow and hold more people.
I still love my EVO but its really not in the same leauge as my Z06.

I was just figuring out at 60.5 plus sales tax @ 0 percent/60months your payment would be almost 1,100 a month....obviously no money down. Thats almost as much as I pay for my daughters day care.
Definetly baller status owning an 08.No wonder the neighbors have noticed.
