I stopped by the Infiniti dealership yesterday and looked at the G37 convertible. Didn't drive one because my wife wasn't with me. I have to say that I liked the looks of our old G35 coupe better. It looked sportier with the old aero package. But I really did love the interior of the G37. Alot of the technology inside the car was very cool. We are definitely going to have to drive one. We are still wanting to drive an 1s350 vert also.
I'm not too sure on the Mercedes. I have heard horrible things about their reliability and service cost. At least the BMW has the three years free service before they start gauging you on prices.

Any 335i, G37, IS350 owners out there with advice based upon owner experience? Especially if you have the convertible.
Thanks,
James

Just lease it for three years. Your wife is going to be tired of it by then anyway. Then you won't have to deal with an out of warranty German car, the hassle of trying to sell it or getting ganked on trade in and it will cost less per month then buying it.

I worked at a BMW/MINI dealership over the past year so I can give at least some input although I havent owned one i.e. didnt have to deal with the cars on a day to day every day basis. From what you have mentioned regarding your wife's taste and interests, it would seem like a 328i or xi convertible would more than suit her needs. The car has a great powerband and should be more than enough for what she might need. That being said, if she has set her sights on a 335 then there is really no coming back.

We just had quite a lot of people come in to the dealership and decide that they only wanted to consider the 335 without even giving the 328 a glance. Obviously performance nuts would be hard to sway, but a majority of people really liked the non turbo engine once we suggested a drive in that. Plus, for the same price or even less it can give you chance to pick more options and packages for the car.

Just an idea...
