Traded z06 for '11 GT500
I researched the Valentine before a bought the Passport 8500 X50. I've had it for about 4 or 5 years now and it has only failed me once. But it wasn't the detector's fault. The officer was coming the other way in the middle of the night and didn't turn his radar on until he saw me: gotcha!!!
It does have rear facing sensors built in. You have to mount it high enough to get a veiw out the back for them to be effective. The V1 and this were pretty much necik and neck in the comparisons. I just happened to get a good deal on this.
I could be wrong, but I think it's because he has a family and this car can atleast seat four versus the Vette only being able to seat two. Looks like it would be a pretty tight fit back there but you could make it work.
Nice car man! I'm a huge fan of Mustangs (had a 92 LX 5.0 back in the day) and I absolutely love the look of the 2011 GT's and GT500's. Yours looks so friggin' mean, nice color choice....enjoy

Thanks for the compliments. I am really enjoying the car so far. The amazing thing is how cheap extra HP comes. Ford racing has a Whipple blower package that adds another 200HP for less than 7K (other aftermarket sources have similar packages at similar price points).
The main thing I always complained about with the Mustang (the fact that they are all over the place, you can't throw a rock around here without hitting a Mustang) is the reason that the aftermarket is so abundant and inexpensive.
gorgeous outside (especially compared with previous body), but still
inside. and why cant they use just a bit more suede on a $60k car ?
my 1995 volvo T5-R had more suede on the seats

I would have to say I do enjoy the new mustangs. I definately like how they have managed to up their handling. I still don't prefer the "retro" style interior as I am more of a technology inspired person vs redefining retro styling. But the car itself is quite nice. Even the new 5.0s I have seen I tend to drive next to on the freeway and stare at for a bit. I think how the blinkers work is awesome for being such a trivial item...it just looks damn cool.
I personally will likely end up in a Z06 soon for the performance aspects but I do appreciate the GT500. They sound impressive with very few mods. Having 4 seats as well is rather nice...although not much of a concern for me, but is nice to have when needed.
As for the few kids who think oh better be careful of that extremely modded evo that could smoke you. Well I would tend to think for the people that own these cars it's not too much of a concern for them, quite a different class of car. Seeing as a few bolts on's would push the GT500 into a place a evo could only reach with a built motor, big turbo, and probably not pump gas which takes away from the experience and fun factor with a limited powerband. Anyone that has drove a Z06 or GT500 has experienced this...Flicking your toe and surging forward with violence or pushing through the floorboard and waiting 3000rpm for your 80lbs a minute turbo to spool isn't that fun imo. Nice car though...best it's a blast to hear that whine. Very addicting sound!

Nice car man! Looks awesome
, I sold my C6 ZO6 at the end of last season. What a awesome car, planning to get into another one in a few months. How do u like the mustang vs the Z06? I had a 04 Cobra, but It didnt even come close to a C6 Z06. I would like to hear the similarities and differences from the New cobra and the Z06, especially since u had the vette and now the Cobra
