Both cars are sexy but like everyone else said IS-F is luxury car with poor performance
The Evo is a performance car with no luxury what so ever.

Doesn't the SE use the SST? I mean still no clutch pedal either way.

Define performance? Handling, maybe it's not the best but acceleration it will probably give a bolt on tuned Evo a good run for the money if not beat it.

For those who can take their eyes off their Evo long enough to read.

The revamped IS-F turns some great numbers, the first iteration of it was kind of meh.

Seeing that Mitsu gave up updating the X back in 08...times are relevant. 2011+ IS-F is a quick car.

The IS-F is not a bad car. They run mid 12s@110+mph stock, handle good, stop good, and are very reliable and pretty luxurious for their price. Not to mention Lexus has some of the best built cars.

For me personally, I would rather have an Evo GSR w/leather.

That being said, if I were you I'd most likely buy a used C63 or M3.

I was talking about the M3 in particular, which the IS-F is supposed to compete against. Yet, the BMW handily whips it in most comparisons, because the M3 is a bona fide performance sedan with lots of upgrade potential, while the IS-F has neither a traditional manual transmission option, nor any racing pedigree whatsoever.

An entry-level IS-F is a full $27,000 more than the Evo, and has a 125HP advantage. I'd expect it to be a whole lot faster, especially on a track like VIR. I didn't post to say the Evo could compete, but to explain why I think the IS-F is a turd in the M3's shadow.

Difference between 08 and 11 IS F's:

Torsen style LSD was added in 10+ vs electronic LSD, Gay LED stip was added to a headlight and LFA style instrumental cluster.

Stiffer springs were added to a 2010 + ISF and allegedly 3 mm larger rear swaybar.

Price is 20k more from 08 to 11.

Mod wise to put it at 400WHP headers and exhaust is all you need and that is good for high 11 second 1/4 mile.

Feel free to add if I missed anything.
