you could spend 17g on a tt setup that you can run a 6 psi and those put down 500 with no other modifications only problem with the isf is you cant tune it unless you go full standalone but then you lose all the cool features of the stock ecu

Nice necro....he bought the SE over a year ago...

It's a whole new kind of magazine racing; whose automatic shifts the fastest?

Wow this thread surely got resurrected! lol

I test drove a friend's IS-F the other day... dam... what a nice car :\

In no way more fun to drive than my Evo except on the highway when it simply dips!!!

Only 3 things I loved about it more than my barely-modded Evo:

1 - Highway speeds come about much faster...
2 - Interior is a dream... although there's a few plastic pieces here and there that look EXACTLY like what we get in the Evo lol
3 - Exhaust/engine note!

The fake as hell 8-speed is meh at best... what a turn off... the SST in my previous Ralliart was waaaaaaay more fun, specially in Sport mode

I put my Rally Red next to my friend's IS-F and I hear "dam your car looks mean..." the IS-F exterior is w/e... It's just an Evo flared-fenders wannabe

OP congrats on your purchase... back in 2010 lol!

highway speeds come plenty fast with an upgraded turbo. Also I hate the false exhaust tips on the IS-F. Tips should connect to the muffler, not have a gap imo. At the end of the day, it's a slush box. Only car in that class I would consider is the Caddy CTS-V coupe. 550hp, Recaro interior and a 6spd manual.

I currently own an 08 ISF and 04 Evo RS.

The Evo is more money to maintain and make go fast. Before you know it you can buy not one but 2 ISF's.

If you want the speed and performance buy a GTR, keep it stock and get extended warranty.

Have you driven one? I thought the same thing until I drove one and it was a freaking blast. Great power, handling was tight and didn't feel like your normal really heavy GT style car, comfortable and quiet.

This coming from someone that has a 335 coupe with 340 rwhp and a supercharged Lotus Elise. I love both sporty and luxurious cars, the IS-F is both.

An IS-F is the best sales tool ever made for the M3. Sorry Toyota, no thanks.

Not sure why people keep recommending the M3 when it was never even an option for the original buyer. He was talking used as well. Would you buy a used out of warranty M3 which costs the same as a new Evo? I would have no problems owning an out of warranty Lexus. M3? No way.

I had a 335i Dinan e90 and spent way too much time at the dealership. Engine started to knock and tranny was going (all at 35k miles).

When I first drove the F I coudnt believe how fast it shifted. It felt lighter than my e-90.
