Noticing that he is in Syracuse, having AWD would be the way to go for the poster.

I love my evo, but if I chose speed, I would take the isf. As far as the snow, I couldn't answer that but I would prob say the isf would not be big. Awd can get you stuck too, but not so much. Rwd, you gotta be careful for fishtailing and stuff. The Lexus is a totally different class on speed. Isf will beat the evo

Btw, his car gets way better gas milage then my evo
Isf will beat a stock evo but who here is stock

I think the IS-F is a nice car, have heard DECENT things about it... I think the Lexus would be more of a statement of "I have money" (even though it's the same price used) in this pick. I'd be more impressed if I seen an evo on the street. The IS-Fs are just more rare to see on the street, and I'm sure there is a reason why.

Sadly you can't modify a Lexus IS-F as much as you can modify an EVO. Sadly with the Lexus IS (current gen)... even if you throw a lot of money at it... the results won't be that much of a gain.

Congrats on the purchase... I was going to suggest an RS4 if you were looking for luxury, sport, AWD, and a ton of horsepower.

I unfortunately had to get rid of mine, but absolutely loved it when I had it. I look forward to getting back into one.

Congrats anyhow!

well i hava a 08 rr evo x thats is currently in pieces for a buschur sleeved block and stg 3 head with gsc s2 and my roommate has an 08 isf. we live in vermont and he had snows on all fours and he drove it all winter. when we drove out to je performance in md it was during a snow storm. a bad 1 and we we're still passing people. last winter was 1 of the worst for vt in the last few years and he was fine. he would even drive it to jay peak to go boarding. yes the exhaust tip are fake but it is a functional diffuser. so to me that cant be rice its not just for show and with headers full exhaust intake and nitrous this thing sounds mean. oh and my roommate is 6'2" around 220 and he sits comfortably. oh and for what i have spent on the evo and the build i could have bought a used isf with all the parts already installed and have around 500 wheel and massive amounts of torque. yes the tranny isn't as cool but when you drive that car in f mode and have the pedal to the floor it will shift incredibly fast touch the paddle next gear in 150ms yes it is slightly slower than the mr but they're capable of holding well over 600 hp with out problem as opposed to having to build the evo tranny around 400
