Speaking of heated seats, steering wheels and what not.... You know what the evo needs? A heated shift knob!
The aluminum MR shift knob gets damn cold in the winter!. Burrr, giving me chills just thinking about it.

I dont know if id switch to a 3 series, but id strongly consider a 135i. I saw a white one with red leather the other day and had a boner for a week. Performance is prolly comparable to a stock evo as well.

I traded my first Evo in for a luxury car (2007 Lexus IS250). Now I know that car is not on the same level as the 335 speed wise but it was ever bit as luxurious and I did test drive the 335. Trading my Evo for a luxury car was one of the worst regrets that I have. Sure the 335 is a really nice car but I don't think you will ever find another car that drives anything like an Evo. Evo's are just so amamzing.

I have 135i vert. 2011 model w/ N55 motor comes w/ single turbo instead of N54 twin turbo. 135 is lighter and smaller scale then 335, obviously. And, a bit cheaper. I've not test drove 335 so can't speak for it.

135 or 335's are foremost sporty luxury ride when compared to the race car traits of evos. First, it was bit dull in driving experience but I came to appreciate the comfort and bit of sporting nature of it. And, others seem to appreciate the look - specially girls... I no longer have to explain my ride is not a econo box....hahaha

Just to let you know thou I am picking up another VIII (my #4 evo) this month as my weekend ride. There is no substitute!

cheers

one thing i learned, selling the evo was the biggest mistake, i hate bmw's lol. they are great nice cars but so freakin boring. I am trying to get out of my lease on the 328 and get back into an evo!! expect a thread with full review of bmw vs evo when i get another evo!

It's the bang for the buck. The 335i are pretty nice, but the evo has the raw performance.

Just the feeling of the evo is different, in the BMW it just seems like it's missing something, I can remember every time I hit a corner in the evo it always put a smile on my face, in the BMW the only thing I get is people thinking I'm rich which is definitely not the case lol.

i currently have a e90 335i and i am looking to get rid of it for another IX

the bmw is a much better daily driver in theory but maintenance and issues complicate that

since my bmw is no longer my daily i would rather something thats a bit more exciting and why i am trying to trade my bmw for an evo
