EnglishRacing Evolander Begins
I was going to scream about the 13:1 afr... and then I saw the boost. haha.
Very cool Aaron. This might convince me to get rid of the Jeep! So does the 2.4L mean it's a 4G64 block with the sohc head?
Simple Evo head swap? (well... as simple as swapping heads goes)

Yes, it was salvage title, from what I read lol. It was a built 2.0 with a 35r on it, but damn lol.

I richened it up to a 12.0 after that and it lost power. It ended up leaving at an 11.8 making the same power. The stock ECU in the 3G definitely doesnt work like an Evo computer.

Turbo kit...down and dirty 3G style (no offense 3G guys). All used parts for a little recycling for peak power on the 'Lander. When it gets the Evo 8 cylinder head things will get updated with a bigger kit from ETS.

So here are the final numbers for the Evolander as it sits now with the stock intake manifold, SOHC head, and stock cam-

Roughly 18psi in 3rd we made 230/260. All these runs were in 2nd as 3rd gear is pretty long and the Lander didnt need that abuse on the dyno...thats what the track is for. We tested the stall on the 100% stock converter and were amazed to see it would hold back 3700 with a little bit of time, 2.7 seconds, and took 166whp/195 ft lbs to generate enough power to do so. At that point it wanted to brake loose. Jeff was later able to get the car to show what max stall is on the stocker and ended up with 4200. In the real world it would take a 50 shot to get it to do that as well as our other mods we use in the DSM autos.
Here is the graph showing what was going on-

Note that the sheet is scaled to where Jeff actually started stalling (5.72) seconds) and then cant hold it back (8.42).

Next up will be the rest of the Evo swap...head, cams, intake, etc. Jeff will probably go through the trans at the same time to bring it up to our current level of "built trans" to get it a little more drag race ready.
