Chrysler ME Four-Twelve
Chrysler ME Four-Twelve
Here is Chrysler's latest creation.. From the sound of the article it will more than likely make it to production. 850 hp at 5750rpm and 850 lb/ft from 2500-4500rpm. Mainly carbon fiber body weighing only 3000lb. Quad turbo(@20psi) version of the AMG V12 used in the CL65. What a beast. Supposed to compete with Enzo, Carrera GT, and Murcielago.

I question why they did this. I understand that Ford is doing the GT and there is talk about a super vette based on the C6, but DC does not have the free money to do a worthless project like this. I understand the point of a "halo" car, but didnt Chrysler learn from all the Crossfires sitting unsold on their lots that people who want sports cars are not going to buy a Chrysler? Plus, look at the cars they are competing with. Why would someone who wants a Ferrari or Porsche get a Chrysler? I mean Im a DC fan, and Id like nothing more than for them to become more successful, but I believe this is the wrong direction. They should be putting their money into more cheap fast cars to be sold as Dodges (like the SRT-4) to make money, not trying to play in a market they have no clue about.
On the other hand, from a design standpoint, its a pretty nice car...

^ That's what I thought at first too....but after I read the article I dunno.....It's an AMG V12.....quality......Ricardo purpose-built seven-speed, dual-clutch tranny......more quality.......same suspension setup as Enzo and Carrera GT.......power::weight = ME 4-12 (3.5::1), Enzo (5::1).........15" carbon ceramic brake disc.....sounds pretty sweet to me.....who knows, when the viper came out in 89 it didn't match anything in dodge's lineup either
