Just picked up my 08 STI from the stealership. (Blown Motor, Should have just bought another Evo)

But, I Test Drove the 2015 STI. It's not half bad. It feels heavier, a cross between Evo's, Focus ST, STI. Interior is not that bad. It doesn't have that race inspired feeling when you sit in the older STI and Evo's. Overall I think Evo X's are still better.

No it isn't. You flat out stated that:

Subaru comes out with a new car and still can't beat a car that is essentially unchanged since 2007. What a joke.
That's what I was addressing. Your next response was:

I'm talking about the WRX/STI specifically. I don't give a flip about how many Outbacks and Foresters they sell. That's the first thing a Subaru fanboi starts talking about when an Evo beats the brakes off a STi. "Yeah, well our dealerships sell more cars."
Again, the implication is you were indeed using track performance as an indicator. Funny how you don't make the strawman allegation until days and posts later.

It was a crappy review. He didn't take any time to test the cars on the street. He didn't discuss any of the car's attributes at length other then when he was dissing the Evo's options and price. He didn't talk about any of that with the Subaru, other then he said they made it better. How? Why? Again, that kind of "Review" may be good enough for people like you, but that guy sucks as an objective reviewer.

It's a review, nothing more. It is an individual stating their opinion. You can't seriously expect anyone to believe you that if he had gone street driving and still concluded he liked the STI, you'd suddenly be behind him. You'd still complain that he's just a Subaru fanboy and dismiss his opinion outright. You seem to like using his review as "proof" that the Evo is better, yet you don't like the fact he concluded that he prefers the STI due to his own subjective factors.

I don't have to "address" anything you say. You can try all you want to drag something off topic to prove some kind of weird point, but it means nothing to me. My logic, is that the Evo is faster and better then the STI. Deal with that, or go start another thread.
Sure, continue to dodge the question. It makes your argument seem that much stronger when you're unwilling to address your own flawed and short-sighted logic. It's also amusing that you again say:

My logic, is that the Evo is faster and better then the STI.
yet you want to pass off my previous statement as a strawman.

Since the X is at the end of its life cycle, it makes sense that Subaru would try to attract would be evo buyers. That and it might be a friendly nod as the long rivalry between the lines comes to an end.

You are like talking to a brick wall. The kid in those videos was evaluating the track performance of the two cars, nothing more. So yeah. I stand by my statement of Subaru still can't beat an 8 year old car. I don't have to address anything else to keep from hurting your feelings. I don't have to wonder how you might take my statement and try to come to the rescue because someone dares not like your favorite car. I don't have to talk about other cars outside of the thread subject. I can say as much or as little as I want without qualifying my comments to your satisfaction at any time. The sooner you realize that the sooner you can move on.

Funny how you don't know what a strawman is. You got butthurt over my statement and made your passive aggressive remark. Or are you going to lie now and say your "some people" comment wasn't meant for me?

He states himself the Evo was faster. He got quiet because he realized it demanded all his attention. I do not care that a Subaru fanboy likes Subarus better. Are you serious? What's stupid is when biased fanboys try to pass themselves off as unbiased fair reviewers and do a crappy job of "reviewing" a vehicle. But it is funny when they still can't deny the fact that Mitsubishi builds a better car which is what happened here.

Sure, continue to dodge the question.

You can ask all the questions you want. If I think they are stupid and unworthy of my time that is my prerogative. And there ain't nothing you can do about it.

My preferring the Evo and knowing it to be better has nothing to do with the youtube videos. I knew that going in. It existed before this thread and before you came in to muck it up with your "logic." I offered to explain why, but you said it wasn't your concern - you just want to debate in circles because you can't do anything about and have no leg to stand on as usual.

Enough. You're both detracting from the thread at this point. There have been valid points made, but when you smother them in sarcasm and "who committed what fallacy first" bull****, everyone just starts ignoring what you have to say.

Play nice or go somewhere else.

I'd really like to hear more from people who have driven the car, or at least sat in it. There's one member of TBR that recently has one and he seems to like it, albeit he's already had an issue that required the diff gasket to be replaced.

It looks like someone has already put a widebody on the car.

I think it makes it look like Dodge Charger.

I think from the back this looks like a blown up BMW M3.

Either way this looks like the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

I agree. I think Subaru could learn many things from the recent gimmick "innovations" by European automakers, and most importantly, ramp up the output of their EJ engines a little bit.

I'm okay with the exterior styling. Toyobaru is, after all, going after the the ex-Evo market with this WRX now. The car is not going to be a chick magnet anyway, so let it be, let it be.

I think the rear looks like a widebody M3 as well, but I don't hate it at all. The tires are much wider than I'd run and that insane camber is for the stance crew, but the pics prove that you can make the new body STI look awesome. It's a start.

Saw and sat in a launch edition STI today. I liked the back, the interior, wheels, brakes, and front clip. I think it looks a lot better than the WRX. It was presold, so we didn't get to drive it.

Only thing I didn't like is the front fender area. Man, that shifter feels so nice! I wish Evos had that shift feel.

So I have a little more to say about it. Why I didn't take an interior picture is beyond me.

First of all, everyone saying it looks like an Evo X. It does not at all to me in person.

So here's what I think. Based on appearance and feel, (to me) this is the best looking US STI better. That said, I had a friend of mine with me that is the former owner of a 2015 STI who would have considered purchasing, but he did not like the way it looked at all.

I sat inside it, and I think the HUD and ergonomics are nice. I wish the Evo shifter and tranny felt 1/2 as nice as this.

The seats and interior look fine to me, nothing extravagant, but still good. The seats themselves have no grip. Needs Recaros like the Evo.
