And I would hope that the wheel wells have room for 265's..
That's true, though purchasing + M&B for this caliber of tire is probably in the $1500 range anyway, so it's not like you're getting ripped off.

And if I lived somewhere that wasn't year-round summer tire territory, I'd go a different route too.

I'm not saying the price is a ripoff. Just saying in the long run I would be putting 18's on the car. If not more tire selection, simply to have lower replacement costs for tires. There are plenty of tires in the same category as those Sport Cup 2's that are also excellent performers.

Also, per Discount Tire's website, their firment guide shows a 255/35r18 as an optional tire size fitment for the Focus ST. Having worked there, I know their fitment guide can be fairly conservative, so I'm pretty confident that 265/35r18's wouldn't be too hard to get fitted.

What width is the wheel? It looks like a 9.5 judging by the sidewall profile of the tire...

Damnit. In my hurried reading at work I must've skipped right over it haha

Ford dealer down the street from my house has a used Focus ST on the lot in the color, I'm half tempted to go trade the civic in haha. Not sure I want a payment though.

That is not my car I posted. People in this thread where wondering what kind of tire would be possible to put under the fenders of the Focus RS. I said take a look a what people are doing on the Focus ST since it's the same thing.

I looked. I found what I posted. I literally have no idea where that car resides or who the owner is. Maybe it is a 9.5. Who knows.

don't forget the body rigidity upgrades.
Likely to keep the price down they couldn't add light way materials.
I imagine it will be close to 3400lbs

Meanwhile, Mazda is selling more Miatas than all hot hatches combined. Heavy cars make me sad.

If this car ends up weighing more than my evo, I'll flip the table lol

Clearly Ford is going to make the frame out of lead...
