I'm not spending $2k on better tires and different wheels when I will likely be putting 18's on the car anyways when It comes time for new tires. Going to wider tires on 19" wheels will lead to quite a limited selection of tires. Example: 265/30r19, there is only one Extreme performance summer tire on tire rack in that size. And I would hope that the wheel wells have room for 265's..
And if I lived somewhere that wasn't year-round summer tire territory, I'd go a different route too.

I'm not saying the price is a ripoff. Just saying in the long run I would be putting 18's on the car. If not more tire selection, simply to have lower replacement costs for tires. There are plenty of tires in the same category as those Sport Cup 2's that are also excellent performers.
Also, per Discount Tire's website, their firment guide shows a 255/35r18 as an optional tire size fitment for the Focus ST. Having worked there, I know their fitment guide can be fairly conservative, so I'm pretty confident that 265/35r18's wouldn't be too hard to get fitted.

Damnit. In my hurried reading at work I must've skipped right over it haha
Ford dealer down the street from my house has a used Focus ST on the lot in the color, I'm half tempted to go trade the civic in haha. Not sure I want a payment though.

I looked. I found what I posted. I literally have no idea where that car resides or who the owner is. Maybe it is a 9.5. Who knows.
