The updated version has a smoother F1 transmission than the old. It has 500+ torque which is quite noticeable on hurry up acceleration. I like the front design which is a beauty and the rear with diffusers is well designed IMO. The lights if you notice is like the 458.
Front-mid (behind the front axle) engine with a turbo, Getrag twin clutch: Is the California-T Ferrari's take on an EVO X?
I never thought a modern Ferrari would ever replace my classic 328.
But after driving the X MR con gusto, I might (when I get old) consider a Getrag equipped machine: a California or 458.
(They're much more affordable if you don't insist on a new one.
...
... Which is why the CIS mechanical 3x8s are rising in value: they don't age out like a computerized machine.)
The biggest problem with the California T is that it's designed to go with an iPhone.

The previous California might drop in value because of the new one. Although the old one only has the 4.3 V8. Who knows , it's hard to predict which one keeps its value. I'm tempted on the manual but hate to replace clutches which has a limited life.
