2016 3000gt?
There are enough new sports cars on the horizon to be excited about, do we really need to hold onto pipe dreams that Mitsubishi is going to somehow defy all the signs and reenter the sport car market and challenge the likes of the new NSX and GTR? Really?
Lets take a look at their current model lineup:
Mirage 2012-present (ranked #42 in affordable Small Cars)
Lancer 2007-present (ranked #41 in affordable Small Cars)
Outlander 2013 - present (ranked #22 in affordable Compact SUVs)
Outlander sport 2010-present (ranked #21 in affordable Compact SUVs)
I-Miev 2009-present (ranked #39 affordable Small Cars)
All rankings are from http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com
Mitsubishi's lineup is small (5 models), ageing, and not particularly well received by reviews or the market in general.
But sure, they are about to release a supercar, why not

Wow I didn't know they were rated that poorly, even worse than I thought! That's interesting data though.
