2016 Mustang GT350
basically the author is butt hurt that its no longer a live axle... I didn't read the article too carefully but did anybody else pick up anything other than that?
honestly if I was into drag racing, thats the way I'd do it... the few times I did go drag racing, 90% of the cars there were identical running completely automated (mechanically so they can claim they're "driving") setups and running nearly identical times... I'd go with a fwd civic that can run 9's or something just to annoy all the muscle car guys...
yeah, I really don't get swapping out the IRS... just get an S197... but whatev's

It was faster than my Mustang, that's for sure.
Making a FWD grocery getter trap 120mph is a lot cooler than taking the world's best handling cars and making them only go straight.
😂
Of course, that's why i have my disclaimer.
An Omni GLH turbo with close to 300 hp was perhaps the most ridiculous thing ever, but was it ever exciting. We can see with the Focus RS the decision to put the excitement back in with the rear wheel biased AWD, but it still misses the excitement of the ST hatches frenetic urgency. Anyone have an idea how insurance companies view Drift Mode in the RS? I guess they don't have a problem with the Mustang's burnout mode.
The new Mustangs and Camaros are more than just fast, they do it in a manner anyone driving it can achieve it.

The higher end Mustangs have the benefit of being a fairly cheap car to repair because they share so many parts with the base Mustang but have a higher total threshold. The FoRS should be the same.
The Mustang was actually OK, the Camaro and Challenger less so. They get dinged for not having any of the driver nannies and for not having good front offset results. I'm a bit surprised at the latter, actually, especially when you look at how big the front ends of these cars are (compared to, for example, a Focus or Civic).
