Then we have a problem with names lol.
Some one is confused about fake exhaust tip if he called that way. Some reason i though its a another car tips lol. anyway, let me xplain:
The difference between fake exhaust tips, and heat shield is the actual connection.
If the exhaust does go into the "tip" , that is widely considered as a heat shield.
The "Fake Exhaust Tip" as the Lexus one, what i put it up here has no connection neither any purpose. Hence the name of Fake.

so i was misleaded with a Fake exhaust tips name.

Now it makes sense for me, why Ford said you need them other wise you melt the bumper.
which actually brings us straight to the name of heat shield, doesn't it? lol

anyhow, ill take it back, that tips are ok for a performance car, since they are not fake tips.
