how's reliability been with the 4C with the engine? this could be an awesome track toy if the reliability is there. I listen to The Smoking Tire podcast and they were talking about a rally they did where someone had a 4C, and apparently he was having issues left and right... but thats really all I know about it
edit:
but I gotta say, the Miata looks worlds better than this. this is actually kind of an ugly duckling in my book
I agree, the miata in person looks really sharp. Its like they took design cues from a mini cooper or something. I think just a turbo on the miata would be the better way to go.

Sadly, I don't think Mazda plans to offer a turbo version MX5. I love the new Miata, but I feel the NA 2.0 is a little lacking in the power department.

I meant adding it yourself. Still probably more reliable than a fiat
One of the guy who got to drive the new STR prepped miata for testing at Nationals this year and the 2014 DP national champ in a miata just got his new one. He brought it out to packwood (biggest site in the NW) last weekend and him and another long time miata guy were doing some stock testing.
There response to the power was that forget what is claimed on paper. This new miata accelerates harder than any other stock miata they've driven. So even though its still slow, its faster than all stock N/A miatas and BRZs.

140hp/140tq... 11% drivetrain loss. rule of thumb for drivetrain loss is 15%, but miata being a miata, I think 11% can be realistic for a light drivetrain... either that or the miata is under rated...
