RIP Lancer Evolution
pretty cool. not crazy about the car ending production. but at the same time I have driven my evo 1 for last ten years. its been out of production for twenty years. I dont forsee getting rid of car in next ten years. and they prolly only made 1/5th of the number of evo X that were built. In short there will be enough evo x cars to go around for twenty years at least. certainly something better will come around sooner or later.
Hopefully the clean, unmolested 8/9s will start to increase in value over the next couple years, like the Supra and FD did. Glad I got my IX when I did, especially considering it only has 45k on it.

I still find this a major disappointment. I understand Mitsu's vision to make cheap, utilitarian, eco vehicles. I'm sure that's much easier, and cheaper than having to build a high performance, marquee car that has to stand up to competition.
Im really disenfranchised by this company and makes me want to never buy anything from them ever again.
I'd think a hybrid, high performance car wouldn't be that hard to make. One that is dedicated to the track instead of rally.
Personally I hope Mitsubishi (and Toyota) suffer the same way American auto manufacturers did when they stopped making or diluted their marquee cars.
But of course, Mitsubishi will probably focus on third world markets so they won't have to be concerned with quality or performance.
Its ironic that Americans are the ones building good, performance cars now. I guess things gave gone full circle.
