I drove a heavily modded Miata a few times. I can't put into words how immediate the car reacted. It turned in RIGHT NOW. I loved that part. Granted, it was far from stock, but all Miatas basically drive that way.
Stock, they are fun but unimpressive. After a few stiffening/suspension mods = wow.
Still slow, even boosted. But a ton of fun.
If I were running a spec series, that would be far more than enough fun to make me forget about lack of power.

Miatas? Miatas are the most raced car in North America, and parts are near-endless. They make the Evo aftermarket, which in impressive in itself, seem small by comparison.
In terms of models, it depends on the year. For some years, there was basically just the Miata. For others, there were different trim levels.

I'm no talking about on power. I'm talking about whenever. Turn the wheel, my car goes. I attribute it to most of my suspension bushings being replaced. Especially the PSRS and rear trialing arm bushings. Those two made a huge difference.
ditto - when does the Evo not turn in well? to my fault, I've only raced my evos after some of those suspension flaws were addressed. Biggest struggle for my evo is in extremely, extremely tight U-turn corners at autox, which only 1 local club really does.

thanks man ill check into it, they aren't that expensive from what I see on cars.com. A v8 swap with some coilovers would be epic
