I ran an SRT4 this past weekend. Those cars are fast, but not as fast as the Evo. It's the best race I've had, unfortunately, I missed my 1-2 shift and he won. I narrowed the gap from 3 car lengths to less then one in 1/8th of a mile. I respect the car, but it just seems cheap to me when I sat inside of it. I'm not proud of the Evo interior, mind you, but it's just a nicer car. You are getting something for your $10Gs and that's a well rounded track car.

Lan Evo your proof is published on page 49 of R&T november issue that is: Volume 55, number 3. Mistsubishi's add for the intro of the Lancer Ralliart states "We could tell you this chassis was based on our legendary rally car The Lancer Evolution, but we'd be lying. Actually, it was the other way around."

I wouldn't call "Stock SRT Vs. Stock EVO = Own3d EVO" respect.

The SRT4 gets big props in my book. It puts a price/performance point out there that's been gone for a while. A basic hot rod on an inexpensive platform. Serious bang for the buck. The engine in the SRT4 is awesome. We have yet to see the full potential of that powerplant.

Also, as for handling, the R/T has been tearing up the AutoX circuits for quite some time and the SRT4 will too. Personally, I don't care for FWD, but there is no questioning the results that the SRT4 puts down.

The regular lancer is a huge piece of ****. Even the OZ rally is a ****ing joke. No tuner in there right mind would buy the OZ rally. What idiot would pay for brand name 15 inch OZ wheels ?? Only to get over price on the 15's and change them. On top of that compared to low end Hondas the lancer is even more of an over priced piece of ****. In Japan the EVO is not considered even part of the lancer. The EVO has it's own GSR etc models. The Mustang Evolved from the falcoln and it is no longer even close to a falcoln. Also The EVO has a body that is way different than a regular lancer.

12.5s for the 113 traps.
The cars best is 12.37 at 111 but they are trying a new part and it increased the trap to consistant 113s. They didn't hook up well as the track was slippery. They will run again later this week on a different track. On slicks it would be in the 11s for sure.

an evo with the same type of mods would hit low 12s or high 11s would it not? My friend has an SRT-4 and i must say its fast, i just dont like to way it looks which is why i bought the evo.

The more I see about 1/4 times and Speeds from the SRT-4, the more respect I get for it. It's even starting to look a little sexier to me.

Still not my first choice for pocket rockets, though.
