VW 20th GTI or Neon SRT-4
Since i cant get the EVO with my budget i was wondering between these two. Both seem nice and i heard u can mod the hell out of the neon but it is still a neon. I like the 20th GTI to but i cant decide.
GTI...I love that car. Plus its got mucho HP while NA. Leaves more opportunity for big HP if you want to turbo later or something. Looks better IMO too.
EDIT: Not to mention VW being generally a better quality manufacturer. You can excpect a GTI to last a lot longer, if you plan on owning it till it dies.

It depends on if you mainly want speed, or speed and looks. The Neon's got the speed, but looks pretty cheap. The GTi has the look of quality and some speed. There are a few tuning shops that can get that VW 1.8T to run faster than a stock EVO for under $5K. As fast as a SRT-4 for about $2K.

haha...ey, i was gonna start the same kind of thread, except i was gonna include the rsx-s too..not turbod, but still a damn nice looking car...ive done alot of research on both of these cars...srt-4 is a quick, neon.....ive been to alot of dealerships, read everything on srtforums.com, and have talked to alot of owners..they do love it...but it all depends on where u wanna draw the line...personally, i like the srt's looks..all girls i talk to tho hate the **** out of it tho..but thats ur call...plus, the interior is very crappy tho...i like the seats, and boost gauge...but thats ALL! the gauges, radio, and manual rear windows dont cut it for me..now the 20th looks alot better tho IMO...one of my friends just got one and he loves it...he can beat a rsx-s stock and he is always bragging on his gti...the interior is much nicer IMO then an srt...it all depends on if i get the evo or not..if i dont, those would be my two choices....so good luck, but if u want speed, go with the srt, if u want speed and good looks, go with the 20th..

Yea i like the GTI more than the SRT-4 and if i was to get the GTI i would mod it so i could compete with an EVO if possible. I just need something to keep up with all my friends who have turbod tegs. The neon is just to girly for me but i love the power it has. Were could i get info on mods for the GTI or would the dealers know anything bout it? Do they offer mods themselves?

Look, I have a GTI my self with 350 HP to the wheels and I can kill my EVO with it. Yes it does not handle like an EVO and I have hell of time to get traction but I love it. The engine can handle as daily driver up to 20 PSI with no problems (proven by APR kit) that I have installed Check out GOAPR.com they are the best. The car is build strong. The interior is made of high quality parts too. As performance by a small chip from APR you will gain about 40 HP and 75 TQ the chip will cost you $500. The car been out for some time and it does not have any problems. Now the 20th ANVI is the best looking GTI i have ever seen. I like the blue one soooooo much.
i have been looking into the GTIs too but wit my budget i dont think i can get the 20th so i think imma jus stick wit the 1.8t wit less options and i less gear then the 20th...and im also planning on gettin the apr chip with it too...but i would rather get the gti instead of the srt because i like hte looks of the gti better even tho its slower...
btw the 20th gti is a 1.8t with 180 hp and the VR6 comes wit 200 hp but its heavier in the front end wit the vr6...
