i think it is a neat little car but it all boils down to what you want. if you are happy with it cool go drive some circles around civics and lancers.

 

It's named the SRT4. The word neon doesn't appear anywhere on the car last I checked. It shares a the chassis and look though so people just cannot separate them in their minds.

 

hey speedyst9...just because youre happy with your srt4, you shouldnt be telling others what to do with their lancers....remember where you are writing. A LANCER forum...(in general) The SRT4 is a great car, but you talking about it like you do makes me not even want to look at it. Get a life.

WTF?? He hasn't even replied to this thread.. atleast i think..to lazy to look back ..he just started the thread..whats ya got against him?? One of the reasons i like this board is how you can talk about other cars.. and people accept them wheather their better/worse then whatever it be, a Lancer, or a Lancer OZ, or a Lancer Evolution....

 

I like the SRT-4's alot because I do believe it is the best bang for the buck car you can get at less than 19k (excluding markups). The looks of the car is debateable for most people but I personally don't mind the looks of them. Some may say the interior is poor/cheap but I personally don't think it is that bad. I definately would have one in my garage if I couldn't afford the silver EVO that is in my garage now. Anyway, I have been browsing the SRT-4 forums for about a couple of weeks now because the people there always have new videos of there SRT-4's in action and I enjoy watching them. I also came across this thread where they talk about the EVO and they sound like they respect us not like other forums. Check it out if you'd like:

That's cool. Except for the one dude calling normal Lancer P.O.S's. But oh well, compared to Evo's I guess they are, But I still love my little ol' Lancer.

 

IMO I think the srt4 is an *** kicking little car. I mean for under 20k, it is in fact the best bang for the buck. And in terms of interiors being cheap, what the hell do you expect for 20k!

 

My local dodge dealer tried to tell me that an SRT-4 was faster then my EVO, when I went to test drive a STi for kicks... He said his 300hp model would beat it, i'm like ok let me go mod mine too to 500hp so things are even (mddded vs modded) I hella laughed in his face and left.

 

I actually thought the interior looked better than ours. Cool little car except that the SRT-4 badge on the trunk was put on crooked from that factory...:lol

 

If both were out the same time I got my EVO , and had a chance to sit in and look at the srt-4, and I wanted to save a large chunk of cash. The srt-4 might be in my garage. Wingless of course.

Plus PVO has add on stages for this neon making upto 300hp, WITH A FACTORY WARRENTY!!!!!!!! This is a very good choice for anyone on a tight budget.. Wait money is money,,, I kinda wish I would have waited a bit longer?????
