There are many cars that use Mitsu turbos that don't share parts. Mitsu is a major turbo manufacturer.
AFAIK, the platform the neon is on doesnt share anything with any current mitsu platform. If i am wrong, please enlighten us to satiate my curiosity.
Congrats on the SRT-4, that is a sick car in my opinion. Nice upgrade. Yes thats right, i said upgrade

Once again im Slvrevo8owners brother so dont take this out on him. However, its a great car for the price, but i just dont like Neon's. Im not real big on its looks but good luck with it.
And anyway about people who are saying how can you say that about the Neon and the SRT-4 if the EVO is the same way? I thought it was rally first then the lancers.

Drove to Hot Import nights in my SRT 4. Not the wanna be Lancer..
I gotta say I feel like a new man after I shedded that Lancer and bought the SRT 4. After smoking Integras and WRX;s I had a feeling that you will never get messing with a Lancer. Trade em in.
eh...i'm sure you won't be smoking WRX's.....sure if might be a quick car...but its still an ugly NEON.
annnnd my car is faster then your silly neon.....so i won't be trading in....and if i would.....i'd upgrade to something higher...like the evo.

Strange, but there are people in the BR forums that say that Neons have actually pulled on their Evo's when races from a rolling start. That's something to think about. Now, Here is my view on it. Since Dodge and Mitsu have shared so much in the past, why didn't they continue that (remember the 420a from the Neon that was also in the non-turbo 95-99 Eclipses)? And while we are talking about Eclipses, DSM was a huge partnership for the two, along with the 3k/Stealth cars, the Starion/Conquest, the Mirage/Colt, ummmm.........wasn't the Mighty Max and the Power Ram the same truck, too? I know the Power Ram had a Mitsu motor in it. And since they have some SRT-4's in rally events in the US right now, I wonder if they are thinking about putting an AWD system in them. Oh, and why in the hell did the 3rd generation Eclipse have come with a turbo? If a Neon can, what the hell was Mitsu thinking?
The Neon is the best bang for the buck, that's for sure. As far as looks, that is a personal opinion. No one can doubt that the Neon is quite capable on the streets and to see a mechanical boost gauge from the factory is something I haven't seen since the likes of the Merkur XR4Ti. Dodge got it right for a change, at least in the performance and price categories. However, there are many cars out there that are fast that I think are just ***-ugly, but who rags on them as much as they do on the Neon (WRX STi, anf the VW Golf R32, for examples).
It will be interesting to see if the SRT-4 will hold together better than it's Neon predecessors. I hope it does, and I hope it starts a new era of $20,000 cars that can run 13's at the track stock.

Well looking at your sig, you spent a bit of money on your lancer. Not sure how fat your wallet is going to be when you start hooking your new ride up =)
Say hello to your neon for me

First off I dont see whats for sale or wanted here, secondly check out www.srtforums.com and get used to the joys, or lack thereof of Dodge ownership and finally I'll simply say that im glad that a Lancer is no longer in the hands of a non-enthusiast who has no idea why most people here bought the car in the first place. Nothing wrong with the Lancer OZ at its price point, just remember there are many faster cars on the road then yours, and mainly much better looking ones for that matter.
