I understand, on their part, why they don't want to provide a price without a conversation. This isn't like the past, (years ago) when I could easily and routinely go through the entire process via email. I know it still happens but they are reluctant to go that route. I ignore all the ones (on truecar, costco, or wherever) that don't give a price.

I haven't replied or contacted them in any way other than submitting the inquiry on Costco site.

Btw, now that I'm paying attention, there are a lot of Focus STs around here. Only noticed 2 Fiesta STs around. I used to own a Mazda M2 so guess I could see the size scaring off a lot of people. There is a good chance I go at the end of the month to see what dealers can do on a ST.

Don't let the size scare you off. It drives better than the Focus, in my opinion. Much lighter on it's feet, etc.

Also, you can fit a good amount of stuff in it as well.

Have you ever been in a quaife-equipped Fiesta?

Nope, but if I wasn't leasing, I would add one. Especially for track. I would get wheel spin coming out of 3rd gear corners with the 320wtq.

On the street, in the lower gears, it's easily managed by tuning.

I just asked for a and received a Ford Fiesta print/mail brochure. It's worth a $750 private Cash Offer.

Although I envision staying completely stock, what can you change without tune?

Nothing really worth doing. The tune is the #1 biggest thing you can do to change the performance of the car.

Hence why the only mod I have on my second FiST is an ECU tune. A custom one at that. The COBB OTS tunes are kinda meh, mainly because they take out all torque managment so then you just blow the tires off in 1st and 2nd all the time.

Second best mod is upgraded FMIC as the stock one can't keep up if you are beating on the car.

Great to know, thanks.

When you had the first ST, didn't you get a FMIC? Since you had it already, why didn't you just move that over along with
the tune?

Yea I had an upgraded FMIC with the first ST.

Second ST I haven't bothered as I'm not tracking it and the install is just difficult enough to hinder the "F it, I'll just install it"

So the FMIC just sits in the garage. I should probably sell it.
