Bootmod also has a bunch of custom code for map switching, flex fuel, antilag, etc.

Thats good to know i remember for a while there people were having major issues with electronic systems interferring with race cars with people trying to mod them and they go into limp mode at a sniff of anything not normal. This all makes the supra even more appealing as a base for a circuit car now. with the factory engine.

I've been thinking the same thing. I thought Jackie's Supra build was a sure win against the Evo, but Shawn pulled ahead in (almost?) every race.
Shawn's Evo has a 2.2L build with G25-660 if I'm remembering his IG posts correctly. Not exactly a basic build, but it's also not exactly exotic for an Evo.
Between the two, the Supra is definitely the better platform out of the box. Great handling and power with a warranty. The $51K price of entry is steep relative to the Evo, though. It will be interesting to see how these hold their value.

I miss awd on the auto-x courses. Big track I dont mind as much.

I made a friend come out with me. We'll be there April 14-17. We scheduled extra days because I always make her come out. I can let ya know where we end up. We typically like to frequent local dive bars.

I was surprised at my last track event at Sebring raceway FL, I saw almost as many of these Supra's as Corvettes; so it appears to be a desirable track car. My last track car was a 2001 Corvette and I swore I'd never go back to the track w/o AWD so I'm more than happy with the EVO but I'm also a Toyota guy and these cars seem to do quite well on the track. Nice cars. But do you miss the AWD?

Is it me or is the Supra faster than it *should* be? I mean...I read the specs, etc... But when you look at what they are doing, it's surprising. Especially the ones with nothing but tires and brake pads.
