STI stock wheel/tire size

hey all STI owners or knowledgable types. im pretty knowledgable fo this car as well but have a question. i know the evo stock wheel size is 17x8.5 right? i think i remember the STI was half inch away on width either 17x8 or 17x9. reason i ask is that some dude i know with a black on silver STI is getting rid of his stock rims and i think those silver BBS rims would look mighty smooth on a silver evo, can you say MR??? anyway just wondering. i know the STI has big brakes too so the offset shouldnt be a problem. thanks in advance.

STI are 17 X 7.5 on a 100 X 5 lug pattern on a 225 45 17 tires

EVOs are 17 X 8.0 on a 114 X 5 lug pattern on a 235 45 17 tires

so I don't think it will fit unless you change wheel hubs

ah crap the lug pattern does a way with that idea. maybe the 05 STI will have the 114x5 lug pattern or ill wait for the MR to come out and wait until people start selling those wheels.

Funny you should mention that. They went from the 17x7.5 - 5x100 on the '04s to 17x8 - 5x114 on the '05s, so you got your wish. The offset is another story. I don't know what the stock offset is for the Evo, but the STi's are a +52, so I don't know what that does for the situation.
