GM is way way more lenient on warranty work...they like to keep their customers happy
I'm just scared to see the insurance on these beasts...can't wait till I turn 25 next year and might actually be able to afford the insurance on something like that.

Fords can not handle im sorry, dont even try to say mustangs can handle well they are horrible for anything other then straight aways. Simple american cars can not handle well and everyone knows that. Its because of their back wheel propulsion causes fish tailing during corning.

there was a test done by motortrend a little while ago between the evo, the svt and some other cars. you guys might wanna check it.

http://www.motortrend.com/features/s..._0306_spdtest/
test was done on stock cars.
both cars are great but i'll stick with my evo not because it is the best car in the world ( it is not) but just because that's the car i like.

dang they got some really good times out of all of those cars we normally dont' see those times stock I think thats some of the fastest I've seen for the EVO 4.59 for 0-60 and 13.08 for the quarter they got some hella good drivers.
Good thing for the other cars on that list they didn't do a handling rating section cause that might **** off ferarri and lambo if a 30k evo kicked their @$$ lol

The 03 Cobra is a great car and was designed for straight line performance. It was designed for the muscle heads. We live in America, cars here were designed to do the 1/4 mile and run in circles like Nascar(top speed).

The 03 EVO8 is a great car and was designed for rally and roadracing. This car was designed for handling and agilities. Now, in Japan, we dont see them running the 1/4 mile or run in circles like Nascar.

Why are we beating each other over this issue. Both cars were built for different reasons. I bought the EVO because I like taking corners hard and push my limits. I need awesome breaks to be able to stop on a dime when I'm in the corners at 90mph or so. I would have loved the Cobra if I just wanted to do the 1/4 or street race. The Cobra is by far the bang for the buck when it comes down to a pure power street car. I'm the type of guy that needs challeng so I got an EVO8 instead of the Cobra. Both awesome cars and I would never diss one or the other. Oh, I also own a 03 ford expediton EB if anyone cares. It's running strong and has just as many miles as the EVO and both cars aren't having any problems so Ford and Mitsubishi must be doing a pretty good job. Let's keep it real people!

Different strokes for different fokes. If your gonna talk 1/4, for the money, and the relative bulletproofness, the new cobra wins. No matter who's driving. Not to mention, with about 1500 worth of mods, it pushes well past 400 whp. So take it for what it's worth.

Bro, your dealer that wanted 47k for a cobra is prolly the one that ants the same for an evo. That's just silly. And a zo6 costs 15k more than a cobra.

I was actually more impressed with the 03' Cobra's handling than any other cobra before it. The independant system/billstein's/links/bars/etc... came together nicely i thought. In the corner i felt way more comfortable sliding out. Was a more controlled more positive feedback setup.

Compaired to an AWD vehicle though it is lacking in some areas but not actually that bad... where i notice the difference the most is actually at the slower speeds due to the cobra's tendancy to bust loose and slide out. The evo at low speeds just grunts down and pulls thru. At higher speeds i felt the cobra had less body role stock than what i've felt in the evo's. The evo just pulls thru the roll better since it's AWD.

A little late to post, but I owned a 2003 cobra and 2003 evo at the same time for 14 months..... i drove the evo 11k miles and the cobra 6k.... i also recently traded the cobra in for a F250, so in my opinion the Evo was the better car.

The Cobra crushes the evo on acceleration once rolling.... at the drag strip the Cobra can do a burnout, have stickier tires, sticky launch box, etc...

I raced my dead stock Evo against a 420rwhp 2003 cobra from a stop...he even had drag radials.... i had him up to 85mph then he completely smoked past me....

evo = quick steering, great brakes, etc...
Cobra = damn fast in a straight line and pretty good around turns... not wonderful brakes... horrible back seat, horrible mileage, horrible winter/rain traction,etc...

Put the same money in the cobra, the cobra will rape the EVO (in a straight line). We are talking about stock vs stock. Not stock vs mod.
ill second that
