Quote: Diesel,
Is your S4 a 6 speed or auto? I've heard good and bad about both.
when i first got it, i would have said "unfortunately" i got the auto... but after the first week, i really like the TipTronic controls on the steering wheel... it's very responsive...

i had to get the auto, cause the wifey has to be able to drive when neccesary...

Thanks for posting some pics of your new ride, diesel. So your plan on doing E-codes, intake and exhaust? Wouldn't you want to do an APR or GIAC chip along with that? Otherwise your not gonna see diddly squat in horsepower and/or torque numbers. Oh and some BBS LM's would look perfect on your new S4. Enjoy the ride.

he got rid of the evo cuz it sat - plus he spent too much money on it - which he coulda used to pay a mortgage.

If he spends money on the S4 - its going to be expensive to mod - its going to balance out as "paying for to car loans" ... he might of well kept the evo

keep it stock diesel .. it looks good btw

They shouldn't even make that car available with an auto.

good choice, I bought an S4 with auto as well... I thought I would only drive a stick car, but the tiptronic shifts very quick and is very responsive, I just wish this thing was turbo'd though! Evo for weekends and S4 for work, I love it!

Major upgrade in luxury (every category, fit, finish, interiors, etc). Major downgrade in performance (every category, 0-60, slalom, breaking, 1/4 mile, etc).

To each his own I suppose.

It is a beautiful car... but you are gonna miss the performance of the EVO.

Nice car! I had an S4. To me it wasn't too fun to drive. It was the older model though. In terms of looks and amenities it was great. Pulling up in it at my h.s. reunion and weddings was nice but driving it and dealing with problems with the car and dealer ruined the ownership experience. I love the way the new one looks. Good luck.

????? Don't S4's have a 340hp V8??? That's some pretty damn good performance if you ask me. I know with the added weight of the S4 the EVO would probably have an edge but surely nothing to sneeze at about the S4.......that's one sweet powerplant.

the Milltek exhaust adds 20hp and 40lb/ft of torque AT THE WHEELS...

dyno tested baby... this system includes the downpipes as well...

the Hypwerflow has also been dyno tested for a 12whp peak on the car as well...

chips on an NA car usually don't amount to squat... but i've seen where the AMD added 37whp...
