this kid definitely has a drug addiction. Sorry to see everyone get screwed.

fel222, keep bugging paypal. Call them. They *should* work with you. Ask for supervisors.

I cannot believe this is a giant loophole in paypal's system. Are they avoiding all fraud liability? This cannot be!

Let's keep this thread clean for real updates. It gets difficult to follow when one person posts 9 times in 15 minutes. If you want to add something to your post, hit the "edit" button. Thank you!

How are we doing nothing? I was the one who contacted the seller initially when I saw the dispute thread. I cannot discuss other sanctions that have been made on the user account. If we ban someone, all forum communication is stopped, which would serve no one's best interest at this time. We are a third party that has nothing to do with sales on the site. You wouldn't criticize craigslist if you got defrauded using their site, would you? We can do nothing to contact the authorities because no damages have been done to our site. We cooperate with authorities based on legal requests to the site ownership, nothing more.

Straight from this section's rules:
Evolutionm is not in a position to monitor transactions or to determine the “true facts” in disputes. Upon request, however, the Forum will try to intervene and mediate a settlement suitable to all parties in a dispute. When issues are resolved in the matter, it will be posted to the original dispute thread so it becomes part of the searchable record. In the instance where clear wrongdoing is at hand, Moderators may impose marketplace restriction or a ban from the site based on members willingness to cooperate with a mediated resolution. This will be done at the discretion of evolutionm staff.

Guys, everyone needs to calm down a little. I AM DOING MY BEST. I have never had my identity stolen and it is throwing a wrench in my life. The reason why the refunds didn't go through is because he found out that when there arent enough funds in the paypal account, it can come directly out of my back-up source (bank account and/or credit card). Basically by the time my bank and credits cards found out what was going on the damage was done and my accounts were all frozen and drained. At this point I am working to fix the problem, however paypal is there for exactly this reason, no one wired me money, ultimately paypal will refund everyone every penny they sent to the e-mail address. Also please stop speculating about speculating about payday advances and what people make up on the internet .. I dont even know what a pay day advance is nor do I need one. I have no reason to take anyones money and I do not want to in any way shape or form. I DO NOT need the money for any reason. What people are speculating and saying about how I am ripping people off is beyond me, I have no financial burdens I need to pay, I have no reason to take money from anyone. I am not hiding from anyone or anything. I dont know what else to say besides paypal will eventually help everyone out in this situation.

This is the last written message I received from paypal:
PayPal is constantly working to ensure security by regularly screening the accounts in our system. We recently reviewed your account, and we need more information to help us provide you with secure service. Until we can collect this information, your access to sensitive account features will be limited. We would like to restore your access as soon as possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Hey Trail Side I'm not involved but I do believe communication is important so people don't speculate so much. U have explained the situations in your life, but I think it seems the members who were unfortunate in this instance just want open lines of communication. If this truly is a huge mistake/misunderstanding... Be available to help see these people through this. U r going through a lot but so r they.

What are the chances that the OP's roommate would even know the jargon necessary to sell all these car parts??? And on all these different forums?! If anyone has ever been in contact with a scammer who IS NOT a car enthusiast, its always obvious cause they don't know what theyre talking about when you ask them a question about a specific car part and will just say very general/vague things about what theyre trying to "sell".

Anyone of you guys that got scammed ever ask Trail Slide any questions when you were buying stuff from him? Or is the OP gonna now claim that his roommate coincidentally knew a lot about evo's and sti's? I'm not buying any of his story.

Also, as suggested, has anyone checked the IP address of what computer things were being "sold" from to see if it matches the same IP address trail slide is using now?

Yea I don't buy this B.S. He used terms that only a car enthusiast would know. I am still waiting on a refund too.

Not sticking up for him, but isn't it very plausible that his roommate would also be a car enthusiast?

Not only this, how he would know almost the exact price for used parts..... someone had to do some research and more likely he tried to do this as a "Fast loan" as I said this has happened to me before with buying a motor. the guy took the money .. canceled his bank account and it took me 4 months to get just 2k out of 3500$ back.

He'll get away with this for as long as no one calls the Cops. It is a felony. Plain and simple. 3-5 Years per count. You really want to stick it to him, start calling a few police departments, they are more helpful than you think, and many of them are car enthuasists themselfs.
