Serious question after participating in this section.

The Member Unresolved Disputes forum allows a factual post for an unresolved dispute with a another member. The post must be factual, first hand and if a dispute, cannot be used to bash the other member. It must be kept to the facts of the sale. Once the post has been made, it cannot be repeated in other sections or on other days.

Moderators will try to leave such threads open until everybody with direct knowledge of the issue being addressed has had a chance to provide their version of the facts. The thread must not become a running debate on the accuracy of the “facts” and may not deteriorate into an exchange of personal attacks. Neither should it be used as an opportunity for speculation by those who do not have direct knowledge of the issue.

Once there has been the opportunity for the facts on all sides to be posted, the thread will be locked. It will remain in the database and will be available for review by those who are researching the topic or member.

Evolutionm is not in a position to monitor transactions or to determine the “true facts” in disputes. Upon request, however, the Forum will try to intervene and mediate a settlement suitable to all parties in a dispute. When issues are resolved in the matter, it will be posted to the original dispute thread so it becomes part of the searchable record. In the instance where clear wrongdoing is at hand, Moderators may impose marketplace restriction or a ban from the site based on members willingness to cooperate with a mediated resolution. This will be done at the discretion of evolutionm staff.

Members are reminded to review the Itrader rating of any potential buyer or seller. Never pay for anything using paypal's "Gift" option.
Just curious where all the chat/insults from outside parties fits in here? I completely support the idea behind what's going on with this section but look at this thread, it's filled with peoples opinions who are not involved what so ever and I still have yet to see what is being "disputed" besides someones opinion about me.

Even the paypal deposit was cleared up and I have been 100% helpful in getting Mikes deposit back. If it was a real dispute PayPal would handle it.

To the extent that the above applies to me, I'll respond. In many cases, my posts are about either the (faulty) logic being used to support a position or some legal matter (that is being misunderstood). In this thread, however, I was just being a jerk because I don't like you. For this - the being a jerk part, not the disliking you part - I apologize.

Your post made me laugh more than anything, I can take and give it and I like you already from your posts, haha. It's more so just a serious question for the mods, I don't mind heckling but I'm curious what moderation is actually being practiced here? Nsomniac and I exchanged a few PM's and then he quit responding.

Like I said, I completely support this section and what the mods do, but has anyone seriously read this thread, it's ridiculous (my posts as well, I should have kept the conversations cleaner and left the insults out).

End of the day, my facts were indeed posted and ignored based on Mikes claims. I mean all of my claims are clearly revisited in the emails with time stamps. What has Mike brought to the table other than "he said this, he did this, etc". All of this happened in the span of a few days, it's crazy when you look at the facts on paper.

Please don't complain about Nsomniac. What he does for us with his work in his forum is incredible and selfless. Remember him offering to be the go-between for two parties that had zero trust for each other? He didn't need to do that. My guess, based on my ring-side seat, is that he knows that this one is done and no good will come of further involvement.

With that said, there was an above-average amount of nonsense in this one, I agree. If nothing else, what the heck are we doing on a fifth page? It's just a deal that went south and a delayed return of deposit. Not much to see here.

Oh for sure man, I didn't mean it to sound like I have any issues with Nsomniac, he was cool in the PM's and I'm sure he's busy!

But yeah, completely agree. Cheers.

edit: is Nsomniac the only mod for this section? If so I didn't mean to single him out. Not a bash on any mods, just see a lot of what their rules prohibit around here.

I received a refund from Joe.
I want to thank you for that Joe.
I started this thread solely based on the fact that I thought you were going to keep my deposit. Honestly until I saw the refund I still believed that you were going to keep it. If it weren't for my deposit I wouldn't have gone through the trouble.
I am not one to start threads like this, I have been on many forums under this same screen name and pretty much never even had one issue.
I still feel confident that I did everything possible to try and make the deal happen. I can't understand how you don't see that Joe.. But.... I guess we will agree to disagree on that point.
I didn't call you names or try to insult you.... Maybe a few small pokes but I tried to keep it clean.
I believe I stayed within the rules and posted what I knew to be the facts which were backed up by my emails you posted.
I have moved on and believe everything happens for a reason.

Good luck with your sale Joe.
