Ruhless' fender mod. Improper hardware
I needed a fender spacer kit, and after reading through the forums about EvoDave being gone, I read a post from Ruthless that he has kits he makes and sells them for 55 dollars.
The post was sometime last year, and after reading some of his explanation, I decided to contact him on it.
From the start, the price was upped from what I read previously from 55 to 70 dollars. A little steep, but if thats your product, and you are selling well, why not.
Well, I go the kit in, and everything seemed normal. After I got my car back from the shop, I began breaking down the car to install the kit, per his instructions.
I quickly realized either the bolts he sent were too short, or the spacer for each side was too long. In thew kit, he sent two long bolts, and two short ones, the long ones were to go through the fender, spacer, and into the car, and the short ones were to pull the fender closer into the body. Neither of them would reach the body of the car, and I had to go to home depot to pick up some other hardware.
Now, forgive me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the kit contain the right things, especially at a price of 70 dollars of metal I could pick up for maybe 20?

per his instructions, using a big washwasher, small washer, the spacer and long bolt, bolt the fender to the car. This picture CLEARLY shows there is no way that this would thread into the body, and that doesnt even include the metal from the fender in between it. from there, even the short bolt would reach the body, so I was beyond agitated.
After contacting him once, then contacting him again to see if "he got my last email" he responded with "im not sure what is wrong with your car, i've sold many kits, and no one had any problems. I sent him an email with the picture I just showed you, telling him it was the kit, not my car. I then again had to send another email asking if he got my message, and still no response.
I would really like my money back, because thats not good business practice.

Yea, on mine I didn't notice it until I installed it. One of the long bolts was a bit shorter than the other long bolt and would not reach. I went to Ace and got a few bolts that were the right thread pitch and found one that was long enough without being too long.
