flaccos stats against top cb tandems in the nfl...

steelers : L 16/31 192 1 TD 1 FL returned for TD (decent game, steelers have looked loads better since then on pass defense)

Titans: L 18/27 153 yards, 0TDs, 2 INTs

Colts : L 28/38 241 yards 0TDs, 3 INTs... (and yea, the colts have a fairly decent pass defense, lol)

Raiders: W 12/24 140 yards, 1 TD, 0INTs... (game manager numbers, no turnovers which is good but hardly an awesome game on offense)

Giants: L 20/33 164 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs....

Eagles: W 12/26 183 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs (pretty good, but to be fair the ravens had a pretty short field most of the game, lol)

so thats how hes fared against some of the better defenses / CB tandems in the league.... and id venture to say hes not even close to be "cutler good" (which isnt say a huge amount here), but no way u go into the meadow lands or if the colts come to baltimore or into pittsburgh or even denver and beat them in the playoffs with mediocre offensive numbers....

though im not so sure its the fact that all these teams might play better, but its that they all have better QBs then baltimore, and WRs who can burn (well, not tennessee, lol) the ravens suspect pass defense...

 

I don't care what anyone says, the Ravens have done really well this year for having a Rookie head coach and QB. I am not expecting them to win the superbowl this year but would be thrilled with making the playoffs. Flacco has proved that he has massive potential regardless of who he has won or lost against. Two of our losses (Steelers and Titans) were only one or two bad plays from being wins so I don't know why anyone would be negative about Flacco. Theres one thing for sure that I'm thrilled about..........he's no Boller!!

 

i dont think id say that people need to be negative, im simply implying that all the other teams in the playoffs as of this week in the nfl have QBs that can win them games... flacco has not shown at any point this season that he can win a ballgame by himself.... down 7 with 2 mins left or even 4, hes not the QB thats going to win u or tie a playoff game.... then again, the ravens arent really built to play from behind...

i just honestly think that pass defense is going to be the achilles heel of the ravens (again)....

and yes, they have done really well for a rookie head coach and QB...then again, so did jim mora and mike vick....

 

Redskins looked like trash............again. Might as well rest Portis because he isnt rushing for crap against the Ravens this week. They had to go and flex the game to primetime so I had to sell my tickets so I wouldn't get home from Baltimore at 3am and work the next day.

 

Portis is so banged up....is he even gona play sun?

 

He will probably sit out of practice all week and play Sunday. We talkin bout practice.
