Cam Install At Ams (read)

Ok so I might have a problem. I was cleaning out my car today and was finally taking out the two boxes of the HKS cams I had in there from acouple months ago. Well I go and read the two boxes and the one says 4g63 280degree VII=VIII and the other is the 4g63(CT9A MIVEC) 272IN. So I guess they put the wrong exhaust cam in??? I've read somewhere that the Ex cams on the VIII is the same as the IX. Could anyone help me out. The car is at LMS right now I'll be giving them a call tomorrow aswell as AMS. Not to mention my stock headstuds weren't in the boxes so I wonder if they even installed ARP headstuds. I can't believe I just notice this it been about 3-4months maybe more since I've had them installed. The car runs good except I think I have lifter tap but it goes away when the car warms up.

Edit: This was Atlantic Motorsports not Automotorsports not to get anyone confused.

The exhaust cam is the same for the VII-IX.....

If there is anything to worry about on your part it should be whether you want the 272i/280e cam combo on your car or not...

Most of the EX cams for the 9 are the same as the 8 like the post above me said. When I did my studs I threw my stock ones out. I was told you cant reuse the stockers. Regarless your car is in good hands now so no worries

Thanks guys. 272/280 is fine with me. As long as the exhaust side is the same on both VIII and IX than it's fine. As far as the studs I just hope they installed them and just threw away my stockers if there is no point of using them again.

Most people throw away stock head bolts givin the fact that they are torque to yield. It eliminates the possibility of anyone accidently reusing them.

You should be fine, we can check the studs and torque if you wish while the car is here.
