Performance Shop References in MD/VA?
All,
I'd like to start gathering references for speed shops known to have given you great service on your mods installations. I'd like first hand recommendations please. I live in Accokeek, Maryland so anywhere within the Beltway 495 or as far as 100 miles outside the loop is doable for me.
Thanks!

well.. i dont know if you can get all the way down here in southern virginia, but in chesapeake there is a shop called Xstreme Imports... i've had exhaust, springs, new studs, underglow kit, all installed there.. and i've had a few people i know get bodykits painted and installed there.. good service, decent prices .. just a recommendation -- if you need to know how to get there, i can tell ya -- (btw.. they install anything there)

As Chris mentioned, we are looking at few places at this time. However, gathering reliable data takes time. I am actually looking closely to individual mechanics as that is more important that the shop itself for me.
I certainly would not mind giving you our findings. I am hoping to complete our evaluations within few months but no later than February 2004 before the new racing season starts

Thanks all for the replies...keep 'em coming!
Looking forward to seein' your ride again at the next meet Chris. FSelekler, I certainly appreciate the offer and I accept that would be of great value. I can wait, I'm not planning mods for the next spring/summer anyway and trying to get leads to shop now. I'll pm you my email address.
Since many conversations and committments will take place between now and then, if you could keep my email on file with a reminder of some sort the give me a shout when you've compiled your findings that would a big help. Where at in MD do you live?
Regards,
TBlaze!

My pleasure ThomBlaze, we'll share information, it only helps
I am in Germantown, MD.
If you can find the time, you can come and meet us at the CrossRoad meet every Friday. There is also a new board dedicated to the DC metro area Evo owner: DCEvoclub.net; you may want to give it a try.

Sorry we couldn't impress you with our weather. Honestly, this has been one of the stormiest and rainiest (sp?) summers in a while. Our humidity can really suck at times though. Never been to Cali but hear is nothing like ours. However, because we do experience all four seasons, it really is comfortable to us natives.
As far as the job goes...I don't blame work has to be a passion in order to have passion for work. I refuse to work a job I can't enjoy. More power to you my man. Best of success to you.
See ya Friday.

Thanks my man. I 'am' going to take you up on that. You live in Waldorf? Now that what I'm talkin' 'bout. I live minutes from 228 right off 210. You are practically next door. We need to hook up and network. Where and when do you normally hang out with your Evo?
I'm planning on being at the CrossRoads meet Friday but whatever the case we can certainly get the Evo's together anytime up our way. I'm an auto tech noob so thanks for the assist.
