Tire Time!!

Hey just wanted to know what some of you guys suggest running for tires, I'm looking for some good performance tires with a stiffer compound so that they don't wear out in a couple months, I've ran Falken RT-615s, they lasted like 3 mo. so not getting into those again, and some Sumitumo HTR Z 3's which were pretty good, I'm thinking about getting em again, just wanted some outside opinions first. Thanks for the input!

3 months! You must do alot of driving! I'd suggest the Dunlop star specs or the federal 595rs-r. Both pretty well priced and both are good tires.

3 months seems....unusually short. did you really put on 15k miles in that time?

i'm running hankook ventus evo 12's, they seem to work pretty well.

i drove a pretty decent amount in those 3 months on those tires, I did two trips to Montana and back to Washington, then hit a local track a couple of times, they were super soft, good tires but they just didn't last that long. I'm driving around to see what the shops have, but the two that I went to didn't have any good 255 45 17's

It has 255 45's right now with no problem on the stock rim, are you talkin about rubbing issues?

I dont know if you had a bad experience running a profile that wide on stock wheels but they seem to fit pretty flush. I bought the car in october so I couldnt tell you how many miles my current tires have seen, but they seemed to wear pretty evenly and they look like they've seen a decent amount of miles. I could be wrong though, I'll double check with the shop today
