I don't think this would fit in to the FAMILY event atmosphere.. Maybe we need to rent a hanger for this part of the event

Otter, dont back down! there are a lot of fans rooting for a stellar victory! this is for fun, and it will be fun win or lose. I'm not going to win my class either! But I will give it my best.

www.weather.com says no rain, hrm. Even if it does rain, it'll probably only be a bit here and there, not enough to cause problems. I have no problem racing in the rain, just makes it more technical, and more exciting for spectators. Spin-outs in AutoX = Yay!

I don't trust the weather report any further out than tomorrow, so no point in worrying until at least Thursday.

Went to do a walk-thru of the site last night, and had lenghtly discussions with the powers to be, and when we were done, they told me it will be a super-fun expierence you wont forget. (no matter what skill level you are!) we will say that all who want to race be there by 10:00 AM, for the tech inspection, and a sticker will be put on your windshield, so you will be allowed into the racing area. the major issues on tech inspection are: battery secured and nothing in the car that is not secured! I have 3 kids, and they tend to leave stuff in the floorboards of the car, and once I had to lock-up my brakes so hard, that all the "junk" on the floorboards came flying up under my seat and broke both my ankles!JK,
There is probably enough starbucks mocha bottles under my seat right now to make 16 windshields for a 59 Buick!
All people doing the auto-X are going to help out around the track, as thats how the auto-X groups do it, and they are checking, but there might be a provision in the Insurance policy that would "ALLOW" passengers in the co-pilot seat! that would be neat. There will be a 60 foot up in the air speaker for the announcer, to of course, "announce" drivers, times, etc..

The cones will be put down, and there will be a flour outline of the track as to not get confused/lost in the maze of cones, we will be able to "walk" around the track first, to get a good look of the lay out. EVERYONE will sign a waiver of liability in order to be at this event, no big deal, but just liability issue. I believe we are up to 6 vendors showing up, High performance shops (car and motorcycle) as well as a muscle car vendor with fenders hoods etc... dont forget to visit their "booths" as well. We have a "flagger" for the event also, which we will discuss at the drivers meeting sat AM. Dont forget to bring your helmets and chairs, dont worry about bringing your umbrellas, as it WONT rain!!!!!!!will post more later,

I will be out on the streets today, with my neighbor Jeff (tunning meistro) with his lap-top plugged in, trying to fine tune my "maps", If you see us out on the road today, pull over and let us pass, or else I will have to hand you your ***. JK.

There will also be 5-8 RV's parked at the airport (mine included), and there is a KOA campground 1 mile away off I-70 for you campers. If you have a baby and need to change a diaper or 10, you can use ACCOLADES back seat! no, you can use my RV for that, we will be very accomidating, remember the bottom line (no pun intended) THIS WILL BE A SUPER FUN EVENT!!!!!!!!!! will update soon!
