HJC makes motorcycle helmets in the $80-90 range. They are SM2000 certified, and the SCCA accepts this certification. There is a store on eBay who sells these ($12 shipping). Not sure if there are less expensive options out there, but this is a good start.

Hi! My club (Miami Valley Sports Car Club) will be stopping by on
our way to Grissom to help you guys out with your autocross.

Any Snell (can be M) rated helmet 95 or newer will work fine. We
found some on Ebay for $45 + shipping. No rules about full or open
face helmets with NASA (who is providing the insurance coverage).
Every car will have to go through tech inspection in the morning before
they will be allowed to enter the course.

Kevin, would you send me the dimensions of the lot you plan to use for
the autocross so we can design a course that should allow 2 - 3 cars on
it at the same time SAFELY.

Hi Crissy, I have been trying to get in contact with you! Again, thanks for your help, and If your guys will be up here on Friday, I would like to get them a room in a nice Hotel. I still cant get ahold of Lawrence, do you have that aspect shored up yet?
I called the Spanish Prime Minister, and he told me there will be no inbound flights to Spain for the next 45 days, due to lack of interest..............So it looks like we'll see you and your Mach1 at the show???

www.helmetcity.com has a HJC M2000 rated helmet (model CS-5) for $59 + free shipping. Couple $$ more if you want to be fashionable and get a color other than black or white. Best I've seen so far (haven't dug into ebay yet). Now I just gotta measure my big head.

Also, is there a list of the things checked during the tech inspection, or will it just be the normal SCCA check? I assume, besides brakes, lugs, and whatnot, it'll also include removing all non-secured items and such.

If that is a 240SX, it is a Nissan.....BUT the LT1 engine is from a 1992 Corvette!!! How the hell did they fit a small block V8 into a 240SX?????
Your call, man......engine is all American, but the rest is pure import.
If they stay with team USA, make them put on a Chevy bowtie Vinyl that covers the whole hood.
You have some extra vinyl laying around, don't you??? Or is it all on the Evo?

As we are forming the "starting line up" on page 9, I know of a couple of cars to be removed, ie car is now broken/sold etc... are there any other out there that will NOT be able to show/Go? let me know, as we still have to add cars of people who just "show-up"
Accolade, any word on the Viper club? I think Team USA will need some of those "snakes" to give us a run. pm me the Pres. Ph#,(Not GW BUSH) and I will call/invite them!

I dont know what class to put it in, the body is a Nissan, but what makes that body move is an American product. Im on the fence on this one. I cant wait to see this monster move! And Hell yes I have xtra Vinyl laying around, I checked the side of the Evo a minute ago, and these are the letters I have on it now:ejhfpiuqhepif q3y-95y9hwehfiudsny9ryniyherjljklhdt0q7=-9i9whhn5551154854516461231654jasjijhfklklsmweopeou tuythjkcjjdnnvclxzlzv;vzvzz
dfhjudshfshkfbnvsksd! there surely is enough to spell Bow-tie!

Just met with airport Manager, and he said we can do this every year, am joining in their effort to raise funds for Riley throughout the year.

Got call about some "caged" vipers who want to throw-down! we'll see!
Lets not forget that this is also a car-show, where there will be trophies as well, there will be lots of souped up bikes also. Spread the word on this also!

I sure see alot of "views," but not many posts, so do I assume your all showing up? or is there one large guy sitting at home in his underwear eating cheetos constantly viewing this site? Anyway, more random thoughts:

I think things will pan out sorta like this: gates open at 9:00 AM, car show cars/spectators/participants, all will be "parked" in their assigned position. The Lancer non-Turbo class is the first up! should park on the entry road in front of the "track". the tire spinning should start at 11:00, with the rest of the classes to follow, and the last groups to run will be the UNLIMITED classes. Even though the winners of the road course cant sit comfortably, as they can loose it ALL in the 0-100-0 event! If you show up late, and miss a run with your class, you can STILL run with other cars, as you are going by class times, not who your opponent on the track is. The track is being designed tonight, should be able to put something up soon, It's ONLY 2 WEEKS away!!!! thinks will go smoothly, and hopefully in an orderly fashion, so everyone knows what is going on. I will keep you posted, and when I see the "views" numbers down for the day, I assume that chubby guy out there is out of Cheetos!
